I notice quite a few people posting about how Howard/Mrazek are keeping the Wings in games. That's their job, what theyr'e paid to do. Guess people aren't used to that in Detroit the past few years, but it's about time their goalies are saving their ass, like others in the league do. Mediocre teams make the playoffs behind a solid goaltender. Not saying the Wings are mediocre, but our skaters have been playing that way a lot so far this season. Nice PK boys. s***!!

Nosek and XO are both scratches along with Kindl, who will play if E can't go. Kronwall-Green DeKeyser-Smith Marchenko-Kindl

Offhand I would have thought Modano would have had that 20 plus goal streak covered, but after checking,he only played 30 out of the 48 games in '94-'95(lockout shortened season),and scored 12 goals. Still had 29 points though. So I say Kane has the record due to a technicality. Can't say for sure Modano would have got 20 that year, but it's very likely.

Tryout just seems to be a depth move with the injuries in goal the Leafs have. In his first game he was backup to Antoine Bibeau, who likely will be called up to the Leafs to back up Bernier after Sparks was injured yesterday. Reimer is out with a groin injury as well. Emery tried out for the Lightning in traing camp but was cut. He was also cut from the Kings' AHL team, the Ontario Reign after three games of a tryout there. What happened to this guy? He used to be pretty damn good, and at least a solid backup.

Who has Kenny waived that went on to play better elsewhere? Nestrasil and Ferraro? They both have done ok so far, but they play different roles where they are. With the backlog of quality forwards in the Wings system, they never would have been given those roles in Detroit.Nestrasil is a third liner in Carolina, and Ferraro plays on the fourth in Boston. Neither played full time in Detroit, and never would have. If you ever see guys like Mantha and AA getting waived, then that's a problem. Losing those two was not. They were very replaceable.

Just watched Z's tieing goal. What a shot! The puck didn't touch anything or anyone and went top shelf with maybe 6 inches of space. Then I watched his shootout try. He had Miller frozen on his knees with a wide open net but he shot it right at his pad. Scores a highlight goal to tie it, then screws up an easy finish in the shootout. Did'nt look like the same guy at all. Oh well, he got the team a point.

Damn that sounds like a complicated injury. He may be back in the NHL soon if the Leafs goalie injuries continue. At this point he's pretty much their #3.

Hey now, if it wasn't for Anderson, they wouldn't have got a point tonight. But yeah, I agree, he shouldn't play unless absolutely necessary.

His NHL record is'nt bad. 145-86-28, 2.70 GAA, .906 Save %. He played on some good teams though. Went to the Finals with Ottawa and won a cup with Chicago.
