I'm sure Babcock told the players not to fight or be overly physical as well. Most of the guys that were signed who were known to fight or be a physical presence were neutered when they got to Detroit. That's why I was never excited when Kenny signed any of those types of guys(May, Tootoo, Cole, etc.) because I knew they would'nt be playing that kind of game under Babs, or they would'nt be playing at all.

All one on one chances go in on Howard. Breakaways are never good Jimmy Howard moments. Lol

Nice. PP has been solid. As for Howard, no surprise. He can bring it when he wants to. He just needs to do it for a full game and not let in bad goals at really bad times. He's been good this season overall.

Wasn't he the one that put the final nail in the coffin in the 2009 Finals? Screw that guy!! But ya, best of luck. Least he knows when to quit.

Still hate how things turned out for him in Detroit. It's like Kenny tried to address a big need, but Babcock did'nt want it. Did they even talk at all before he was signed? So pointless and a s***ty way to treat a guy. Sign him then send him to the minors and buy him out.

Did'nt see the game, but it looks like it went well. It's about time they blow out a team that they should, instead of taking them to OT and giving them a free point or two. Condon has done well in relief of Price so far this season. We'll see if he can handle the reigns for 6 weeks. You'd think with Price out they'd be screwed, but they always seem to have a goalie step right in and keep winning. Tokarski sent down, Fucale called up.

All I know is goalie pads need to be chopped down so they sit just above the knee, not just below the waist. Some of the pads goalies wear look ridiculous. I'm surprised they can even move. A lot of goalies switched when the size restrictions came in. Width was taken away, so they increased the height. Brodeur is probably the last NHL goalie to wear proper fitting pads.

Don't give Kenny any ideas.

I keep giving this team the benefit of the doubt, and keep waiting for them to get their s*** together. Just when you think they may be turning a corner, they go backwards again. Tonight should have been another easy two points, but of course they have to make it difficult and head to OT again. It's easy to think it's still early in the season, but before you know it it'll be March, and all these squandered points against basement teams will bite them in the ass. Guess it is what it is though.
