Hope Mrazek is ready for this one. If he plays well, could mean more starts. Remember Petr, proper positioning!! Stop overthinking and overplaying every shot in an attempt to make easy saves look spectacular and give us all heart attacks. Time to get going. Hasn't been bad, and got stuck with the Leafs loss, but we need better from him. He should find those pads and use them tonight. Had some great games in them.

Well put. He still has not adjusted to NHL hockey. The game against the Leafs showed how badly he can be out coached. Babs knowing many of the players on the Wings roster didn’t help, but at least Babs seemed like he had a plan and stuck to it. Blash couldn’t answer with his bonehead moves. Pulling Mrazek with 4 minutes remaining was the final s*** on top of the pile and gave the Leafs another goal pretty much instantly.

We’ll see. Until it’s confirmed, the media, no matter the source, are just writing fluff pieces now IMO. Sooo much crap already.

Read about this earlier. Still more of the same crap. Still trying to talk it out, etc, etc. Seen so many “updates” which the writer may as well have not wasted the time on because it contained nothing we didn’t know already.

What AA is doing makes zero sense anymore. He’s still got time before he can’t play in the NHL this season, but it can’t be a money issue cause he’s already lost some. He’s not going to the KHL, and Switzerland was never an option. Missing out on nearly $2 million just to try out for the Olympics? Doubt it. Unless he really doesn’t want to play in Detroit under Blash, and seeing how Holland has screwed this team up. If that’s the case, both sides (or just AA for now) are keeping that very quiet. He may end up being traded, although Holland has stated he won’t. Somethings gotta give soon.

Man, Babs knew exactly what to do to score on both goalies. Stick side on Howard and screen Mrazek. Too easy. Yet Blash had no real strategy on Curtis “I’m on my tenth NHL team” McIllenney.

I’m still hoping Mrazek can get it together too. I had good hopes for him coming into the season. He’s gotta settle down and stop jumping around. His height burns him if screened too. He would have been status quo for height years ago, but he’s gotta be one of the shortest in the league now. Bigger players these days. He’s gonna have to figure that out, if he can.

Yep. It’s nice to win, but let’s be honest, this team isn’t competing for anything. May as well get a high draft pick. Tired of Kenny and his band aid fixes on the offseason in vain attempts to compete. Just go for the rebuild already. Doubt he ever will though. Could have had Colorado’s record last year and he’d still think he had a contender. f*** he’s gotta go.

Hopefully Petruzelli lives up to his potential. Not sure how Matej looked in camp. I don’t think Coreau is the answer either. Always Fulcher too hahaha

I agree. Both goalies haven’t looked into it lately I find.

Mrazek is so scary to watch. He’s all over the place. I thought he worked on positioning over the summer? Blash better get him back on learning it after this one. I get his athletic ability, but enough heart attacks man.

Nice one Z!!! McIllrnney didn’t know wtf happened. I think we’re lucky Andersen isn’t in goal tonight with Howard allowing 2 goals on 2 shots. Defence didn’t help him either. Tighten it up or it’s gonna get a lot worse!!

No goalies get free passes on LGW!! Nope. This team can play with the best when they’re all on their game, but there’s usually at least a few idiotic moves per game, even when it’s a win. And ya, defense sucked once again. Surprise.
