I think there are positives. Mrazek was pretty good. Could have been a 6-9 goal game easily with a shabby netminder.

Blashill tinkering with lines after Tampa loss
Jacksoni replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
This thread needs some uplifting. We have a lot of home games coming up. Both Tampa and Florida trapped our defense good, especially Tampa. This shouldn't be as easy to do when we're home due to change advantage. Should result in something better. Granted, doesn't solve the situation though. -
10/13 GDT : at Tampa Bay Lighting 6, Red Wings 4

That's right Joesuff, once Tampa changed it up and started dumping the puck we got cooked. This scenario will repeat all season long unless the defense handles pressure better. I can only see that happening if we get better Defensemen. -

I have been waiting for this day a long time. I would have preferred softer opposition and at home to get our guys going, this is going to be very tough. May the hockey gods have mercy on our Red Wing souls and grant us a steal from a finalist projected Tampa bay commanded by The Captain. -
Red Wings specific predictions for this season: 1. Red Wings will not make the playoffs this year and it won't even be close. 2. Brendan Smith will get an increased role (nr 2/3/4) and perform well most of the time if you disregard the occasional brainmelts. 3. Tatar will step up and start producing big time, barring injuries. Top 3 in team scoring, possibly #1.

Any chance of the wings news section that was above the forum reappearing? It was quite handy.

I have a bad feeling about this season.
-
Good job. I'll check what's under the hood during the season.

The World Cup of Hockey in Toronto is coming up. The first game is September 17th and the final is on Saturday October the 1st. The official NHL url for the arrangement is: http://www.nhl.com/ice/eventhome.htm?location=/worldcup/2016 Many Red Wings are participating in the tournament, listed below: Kronwall(Team Sweden), Zetterberg(Team Sweden), Abdelkader(Team USA), Larkin(Team North America), Marchenko(Team Russia), Mrazek(Team Czech Republic) and Tatar(Team Europe), Edit: also adding Red Wings players that are new for the season, ie has not played a game yet for our club but are signed. They are: Nielsen(Team Europe) and Vanek(Team Europe). Any takes on the tournament should go in this thread I reckon.

They dropped Daniel Cleary to the Griffins? Such bad form and blasphemy.. -
McDavid is jesus/coming messias of hockey, thus he counts as 5 players of any other nationality.

Price looking priceless. We will pay for that. Unless he's hurt again the 'Monreál Canadíen' will be above us when this year concludes. *mumbling something about the french*

I'll send you a link, I'm pretty sure it'll work but the quality may not be the best. You should also check out Reddit close to game time for a high-res feed. -

I'll be sleeping but I checked if tonight's game was available online, and it is. So search around your stream providers and you shall find. -

Looking forward to watching the AA-Larkin-Mantha line for sure. Some of our brightest future in there. -

Whatever above that he'd sign for, it is simply too much for a 22 year old who might be supreme in the future. I'd rather take my chances and start picking in the top 5 for a couple of years. A lot of cursing would transpire during those years but no way in hell he's getting that money - yet. Has to show more. 5-6 mill, I'm fine with. -

I'll sneak in another drumbeat for Hampus Lindholm, the Anaheim unsigned RFA defenseman. I still don't think the Wings fans get it. He would in my opinion trump every available defenseman available, except for Trouba. I'd put them about equal as of now. I see it as a shameful display of travesty that he isn't signed and our management should be on the Ducks backcourt offering every possible angle of trade. -
And AA. He is for real. You will see, in time if he stays here. I am guessing he alone could garner us something like Fowler.
-
I think he should be on the staff instead of on the squad. The time is right, he can still play decently but the decline rate will be steepening now. Just about the right time to go in as a "player <some made up> operations manager".

They would be claimed within minutes of the waiver declaration. -

I'm not overly sure that's a good thing. Any chance he could play on stilts, thus gaining 10 inches, add 75 pounds of beef and be a superb defenseman? -
Larkin didn't look right in the game against Russia. I'm guessing he has an issue and that's why he was absent later on. I have no info on it though, would like to know. Would have loved if team north America zapped the Russians but at least they got 1 of 2. Still in the mix. And McDavid Is a mix of Jesus and Gretzky.

The fins played too soft against team NA. Nations such as Canada and Sweden won't make that mistake and has the worlds best personnel to cut them off at the blueline or make them pay heavily for trying to play through mid-ice. Just aint happening. So I'm predicting TNA won't make it to the finals. Would be nice if I was wrong though.

Report: Dylan Larkin skated on Team North America's second line, together with Jack Eichel and Johnny "Hockey" Gaudreau. He played on the third line during Sunday's practice game. I've been writing about Larkin deserving more ice time, and it seems the coaches agree after all. Superb news and acknowledgement of our best talent. Watched Carey Price tending the Canadian goal a little extra. He is not far from his old self, a couple more games and he'll be the wall he used to be. Don't see any other team but Canada be on top with that. The up-coming CAN-USA game will be very worth to watch though.
