Agreed of course. He knows he has a high chance to win this year. He's looking at prime meat to stock up on for the run, being Green and Nyquist is my bet. Both should fit right in to their wheelhouse. If you ask me to choose one I'd say Green.

Didn't and won't watch but a good loss. #Dahlin. Might not get him but it is what we should strive for.
-
First game of the season I won't watch. I would have Certainly watched if Marchand was playing. That rat is the only thing that reminds me of late 90's hockey, when in my opinion the greatest hockey of all time was played (overall). Truth be told I want us to loose games. Everytime I watch I want us to win. So the logic is simple, if weird.

Absolutely. Granted, would have wanted more, as in maybe shouldering 2nd/3rd line duties (and he's young might still be able to) but I buy that. Only nagging thought is that he was a 2nd round draft I believe (no time to double check) and from that, I would have Liked to have him on a higher line, but once again, you take what you get.

Todd was legit as a big, dangerous low area player. As a defender I would have been alarmed by his presence due to his size, toughness (very hard to move is what I mean really, a combo of size and natural low center of gravity) and excellent sense of game flow. As for the new Bertuzzi, not so much. Tenacious no doubt. But lacks size and low area presence. Middle of the pack feel of where to be in the offensive zone. 4th liner for a few years if you ask me.

20 bucks on the Hurricanes moneyline, lower than usual. I see value on it but we could get this one, albeit unlikely thus the bet.

Told you ladies we'd win. Ain't nothing to it. *collects 30 bux*

Odds are exactly even between the teams in this matchup despite considering that the Sharks are on a back to back. Slightly insulting if you ask me, we should have gotten a bit better odds to win. Rested, probably more time than normal to prepare for a specific opponent and we are at home. We get this one I believe. 30 bucks on the Wings moneyline.

Hence the quotes. Bad wording, should have written late 1st round pick. Was in a bit of a rush. With that out of the air, if you're still up for a wager I'm all game. -

Looking at the state of the teams around the league, it's business as usual regarding injuries, unexpectedly. I find it very likely that Green will go to a contending team, netting us a 'high' first round pick. Willing to bet a lil something if someone strongly disagree, as usual. -
I'd buy that. 2 years for 2 million per with some shutout bonuses thrown in etc. Anything over, drop him.

He did indeed, on points. But every common man saw Rocky as the winner. Was over 5 years I saw it last but still remember the post-bell Creed mumblings "there won't be no rematch", <repeat>. However I wasn't reflecting on the outcome, but I certainly can't fault you to bring it up, nice touch. Just the general feel I get when watching a former solid player about to go down. Something tells me you can see it aswell. -

I would surmise the brainiacs of the Hawks forum saw that coming 3 years ago. But it is pretty obvious to the naked eye now. He looks like Apollo Creed in the 15th round of Rocky 1 to me out there. -

Enjoy the game. But Wings ain't winning no 4-3 says this 50 dollar bill I am wagering. I smell a bust. -
I sense a plot to make me not watch Red Wings games. I will comply. Thanks for the update.

First game. Emotions. Bright lights. Childhood dream. Midget. Would do anything to be here! Dazed. So much happening. Giving it my all! We won! Point being, give him a game to relax. With that said I am doubtful, he is severly undersized but the game has changed. Need to see how this is handled. He has the speed to keep up with the bigger forwards, but they can easily forward tackle him to injuries (think Peter Forsberg offensive tackles). How will that work out? Let's find out.

Svech. Silence your thoughts of alternatives. Bro's over ho's, 'bro'. Having them both would likely result in higher compete and positive pressure to perform if management handles them properly. -
Win 1 convincingly, loose 2 in a shameful display I say is the story. Although we have some bums on IR and Hicketts as a weirdo factor. I would prefer us not winning this game as every win gets us away from a good chance on the nr 1-2 pick. I have no illusion of us having the slightest chance of making the playoffs. Still now it's a bit fun to watch them games. Kids all over, even a 5'8 defender who Kronwall thought was our first round pick last summer who was undrafted. So, if the kids win - great, I am all for that. If it's a Booth tip-in from Green - nope. Strange stance but I stand by it.
-
25 bux on the Devils.
-
Our standing is good. Bring up the kids. Sell what you can. Waive what you can. Convince to retire what you can. If done properly we'll still be bad next season. But with the right mix of young kids we would be a more interesting product, hopefully translating to attendance and mumbles on the electronic internet thingie that soon will be Skynet.
-
Make it count, kid! Congrats.

Just watched this game. I've watched all games, sometimes work makes me put it up a day or so. I make sure not to know the result prior to that. I am satisfied with this loss. I really do hope the management realizes it's time to call it a day and prepare for the offseason. I won't write more on this. I am tired of their approach as is.

7th rounder being a solid, honest captain and producing a point per at 36 (last 3rd of the season). He's slower each season but still gets it done in the NHL. ´´Hespect to sendero Swedish mafioso

Howard confirmed as starter. I shall retire from my betting practices on this game. I have no idea how it might unfold. Should be a quick, chaotic back and forth game. Good luck to us!

To me Mantha is still a deer in headlights. Lots of stuff happening and he's absorbing, finding his role. What you see on the ice is the innate abilities he's had the last 5 years. He's listening but mostly still going on instinct. Internalization of knowledge takes time. What you want is 'Mantha', the hardened, mentally coming to grips with who he is on this team and in this league, coupled with 10-20 pounds more muscle and the tricks and trades that comes with experience. For instance the intrinsic balance to pull of an elaborate shot despite 200 pounds of muscle leaning on you at speed. He might not reach there. But if he does Franzen will look like a shadow in comparison in my opinion, i.e higher ceiling.
