Just unsubstantiated rumors which the poster claims he heard from a source from the Red Wings locker room. No name (anything really) provided. I'll be fair and say that it doesn't mean it's hogwash yet, but it's rather unlikely. Still good drama. Might even raise Zetterberg's pulse, which couldn't hurt.

Just returning from meniscus surgery 3 weeks ago. Had 3 skating sessions this week before they stopped the ice fridge - so it's inline time. Recently told that I will be playing division 1 hockey next season if I keep training hard to get the knee fully operational. That's not an issue, I work out daily and rehab is no different. Knee feels really good, all things considering. I played division 2 hockey all last season with a ruptured meniscus. And to fully tie to the subject, as long as I skate, inline etc weight control is easy, it burns so much that I can eat myself full without gaining. Lesson is, do something you Like, whatever that is and you'll burn. Add to that serious weight lifting. For those wondering, the leagues in Sweden goes like this: SHL(highest of course), Allsvenskan, Div1, Div2 etc up to Div 7. I'd like to see me playing in Allsvenskan if I can sustain fitness pressure upwards.

You're right, I realized that moments after my post. Even if he was to get paid it probably wouldn't hurt the Ilitch's. The cap is another matter altogether. It's all in Ken Holland's hands now then. Sigh.

A bit too much sauce on this for my taste. Nevertheless you are correct - he's leaving. And yes, he's not producing, it's time to go. Let's realize that and work from there. And by Holland's interviews he's aware. The honorable thing in my opinion would be that Datsyuk just said "I'm not getting paid this season, as I'm not playing - money back". But of course in today's world that's not even a consideration.

Things are shaping up. Pens-Caps is the bomb, but this one will be very nice as well. I have no idea how this series will go. Might make a prediction after watching game 1. Wouldn't mind Dallas getting this one though.

Tampa got this I think. Unless one of their key players, not counting Stamkos goes down. I'm thinking Bishop, Hedman, Kucherov or midget Tyler Johnson.

You're right I don't think he's the yelling type. But he seems more vocal than previous A's and has somewhat of an authoritative aura, at least to me. An "A" should fit his chest nicely in my opinion.

Yeah, I agree. Sad. Just had to throw it out there. And Holland should too, just to show interest. Who knows what might happen, something "political" in-team etc. I do agree it one in a million shot, but he's just that good that it doesn't hurt to ask.

I think we need someone more vocal. Our current leadership crew are all silent-strong types. That works great for veterans. But we have younglings now, and they need to get a military style shaving & yelling from time to time. So I prefer Abdelkader over DK. DK gets the next (Kronwall's). Larkin gets the C when Z retires.

Anyone see game 7 between Chicago - St.Louis? Did you catch how the Blues defender Pietrangelo played? Did he look exactly like someone that played on this team up to 2012 in his prime? Land him and we have a replacement for nr 5. If I was Holland I'd at least explore the possibility. A little inquiry post-season.

It was debated, I certainly don't think he belongs. Too soft wording, I Know he don't belong. The coaching staff said they didn't want to split up Kronwall - E or something similar. Seems they are a few years behind the radar. Anyhow, thankfully he declined, he ain't making the team anymore, ever. Now if the Wings could just waive him or if he retired we'd be in a much better spot.

I can confirm this, just listened to the coach of the Swedish national team while he was interviewed. At least Z, E and Kronwall have some sense in them. Hopefully that results in improvement next season.

This is the Conference final as far as I'm concerned. Don't see the winner losing to any other team in the east.

Dallas put it away but almost crapped the bed that last period. You could see their defensive collapse at times. Doesn't bode well for future rounds. I'd forecheck them to hell if I was facing them in the conference semi's. With that said, the hands of Jamie Benn on that big frame is just magical.

I would call that forcing another game. Obviously you don't. By that same logic Mrazek didn't force Tampa to 7 games last season. It was an illusion, or at least something else than force according to you.

Apparently more than we did as they forced a game 6, however that might be. Besides, they're underdogs and I wouldn't mind them giving Washington the shakes by forcing a game 7.

20 minutes left for the Flyers in this playoff unless Philly gets the equalizer. They need to squeeze one in somehow.

If the Penguins play like this all the way they are right up there with a very realistic chance of winning it all. That's a nasty power play, looks as smooth as any I have seen.

Wonder if Blues got the shakes for game 7. This Chicago team don't care if it's at home or away they are too experienced. Gonna be a good game.
