These predictions are very close to hitting the mark spot on. Larkin won't win the Calder, but he is/was close. Very nicely foreseen overall. 2.5 out of 3.

Just a quick addon. I've been looking at what's required for us to make the playoffs as in who needs to win and loose this last stretch and it fried my grey matter. Literally. I found a nice video about timelines in the Terminator movie series that sort of gets the point across. Fair to say, our chances are slim in case you don't want to watch. Scroll to about 3 minutes for a depicting allegory of my meltdown regarding our playoff chances.

Well, he was the leading goal scorer in the AHL. But it did not, and will not translate to the big league. Undersized, too long windup for the shot (something I've been scaling off in my personal game), needs time to setup i.e. he needs to be stationary for the big slapshot. Simply not enough time or size for him to do magic.

Bedard is probably thinking: "I have these 2 biatches who can play but are f*cked up in different parts of a game and have different mental problems. How about we start Jimmy the first two periods and finish off with Mrazek. How much worse could it get if we'd try that. We gotta make the playoffs, this is my best bet."

Ericsson is pretty decent on his forehand, with about 1 second to make a decision when moving the puck up in our zone. Unfortunately, he doesn't have that luxury in the NHL. And not in the AHL mostly. And not in the Swedish elite league. Both AHL and SHL has become faster, making big E obsolote. Guess he can't be moved at all even if we were to retain 75% of his salary.

I still say Ericsson should be moved to forward, 3rd line for net front and corner presence only, and only when in the offensive zone. He can not be traded and we are dishing out 4+ million $ for him. Let him bleed until he retires. He will exceed in those two assignments.

I am Not bashing on you with this quote, I can see where you were at when thinking this in early October. Then he got a dislocated shoulder, which probably wasn't too hard to accomplish, him being hobgoblin sized for the NHL. With that said, a small lol is in order.

I'm relieved and will be watching tonights game just for enjoyment, not the anxious "please get in" mode. Any form of making the playoffs is a bonus now. I will not be scrutinizing our defensive play and strategy (being a d-man myself). I will just enjoy the puck movement and hopefully aggressiveness and enthusiasm from our corps. With that said, Let's go Red Wings! Make me smile! -
38% is more than twice of what I believe our odds are so I guess I won't complain. A week ago I said it's 50-50% just as the odds said. Today, I'd say it's 15%. All the back-to-backs, low morale and most importantly we have goalie problems. Just too much adversity coupled with a new head coach.

I bet occasionally, not much just 10-20 bux here and there. Some games I write what the odds are on the GDT, mostly to share information on games I have a hard time judging myself, like yesterdays and tonight's game. -
