Wanted to add that I thought Jurco looked good despite having some AHL-shakes still. He probably had a little bit more in the tank also. Thought It'd be worth mentioning as many here think I'm against him. Well I'm not, if he performs obviously.

About the game. Was hoping we'd own their house and win a close game. Took me about 5 minutes to realize we would be chased out of their gym. No juice, almost all players looked slower than usual. Zetterberg noticed this and tried to steer the ship right but his eye didn't help. Also he was out of juice as well and he can't will his body to things he used to anymore anyway. I'm glad it stayed at 4 goals against and that Larkin didn't get leveled by Big Buff. Hopefully they'll get enough rest for Penguins and Crosby.

Back to back and we face big Dustin Byfuglien. May I suggest we Don't dump and chase when he's on the ice? Maybe also hide Larkin behind the goal. Our goal.

Sweden won against USA 1-0, mostly thanks due to the goalie, who shut out a good US team, including 16 shorthanded minutes (a lifetime in hockey). Unfortunately he isn't drafted by the Wings, rather the Islanders. --- Axel Holmström, who is drafted by the Wings, looked sharp overall in this game and in his previous first game. Good pickup, for sure.

He had played back to back, would have been the third game in three nights for him I believe. Was just a backup.

He stands out as a defenseman in the canadian national team, which is a big feat. Hicketts has serious skills, let's hope he can handle NHL size.

A technical and fast skating Sweden won comfortably over Switzerland 8-3. However 2 possible concussions to key players on the Swede team, including William Nylander, the AHL point leader and future Leaf star.

I'm no fan of the french. But trading frenchie XO? He's a legit prospect and should be a considerable upgrade over some chumps in our lineup - Smith and Kindl comes to mind. I am not completely against it by default but would be interested in what you're thinking/wishing to get for him to make it worthwhile.

A clean win, how about that! Good play from the Wings, especially in the 2nd period which we dominated handsomely. I don't like that elf wizard Johny hockey, but thankfully he didn't manage to cast a spell on us today. 2 points in the bag, much needed.

I mentioned a few days ago that frenchie Oulette should get called up, it's getting time to slowly ease him in, he's ready. I'm quite ok with letting Nosek come up and sniff the action, hope he gets some decent ice time so we can see whatup with him on the NHL level. And great run for the Griffins. What a turnaround.

Dissapointing lead and game loss to Buffalo on Monday. 4 days to rest up, get those legs going for our vets. It should be noticeable on their play. I can see Zetterberg and Datsyuk gaining a little bit extra speed when they're going north. That speed and finesse will be too much for a fleeting Vancouver team. 20 bucks on the moneyline, LGRW!

Yep. +1 on that. I've stated in the past that we should trade for excellent veteran d-men and let the forwards come from the Griffins. They are simply too rare to get from the "soldier ranks". Imagine having Hedman (Tampa bay). Complete, young d-man. At 30, he's gonna dominate like Lidsy did.

Very nice and excellent turnover from the beginning of the season. I'm guessing Mantha will be brought up soon, just to get a feeler in regards to time & space at the next level. I'd like to see Frenchie XO up again, want him getting acclimatized to NHL speed. I think he's ready and could fill in as the 6th d-man. Can even see him top 4 in the future.

Jurco should get another conditioning stint with the Griffins. Talent is there but it isn't translating to what's expected of him. If I was Ken Holland I'd trade him for a 7th rounder pick and a McFish meal if someone asked. I wouldn't mind seeing Cleary getting another try with the Wings. Come on old boy, show us you can still dance.

I'm still in awe that he leads the league +- with +20. Taylor Hall is second with +15. What a find. Hope he stays healthy.

Over a point a game you say. Over 10 games. Good enough for me. Seems he's come over the hump since last season, with his broken leg and the troubles with building up the leg afterwards. Let's see what he does for 5 more. If he sustains I wouldn't mind him feeling out some NHL minutes when someone goes down. Nothing permanent, just getting his feet wet.

Mrazek has been great. Clearly in lead for the #1 spot. But why the rush to choose a rank? Both goalies can play. We're in a sweet spot, getting the max from both due to the competition. I say let it play out until late season, maybe even the playoffs. Might wanna throw Mrazek in a couple of extra times against teams he has beaten alone. Tampa don't love no Mrazek for instance.

Howie has been good if we discount the shootouts of course. He's going to have to keep it up tonight. We are favored by Vegas in this game, despite being on a back to back and playing our 3rd game in 4 nights(!). It's a nice compliment, but I won't advise anyone to bet on the Wings moneyline. I predict more dump-ins & letting the youngsters go chase. The veterans are gonna have tired legs for sure, better save those for the power play. I'll sit back and enjoy, tender and cozy after some on-ice scrimmage. LGRW!

Excellent win over the divisional leader, doesn't get much better than that. Think I'll rewatch this game when I have the time, we looked crisper in the offensive zone, wanna see whatupwiththat. But first I have a lecture, and then 4 hours of hockey.
