Would that not be rude to Daniel Cleary, who respectfully agreed to play for the Griffins? Will be nice to see AA play. But Dallas is the hardest opposition of the season so far and there's a risk we'll get seriously embarrassed. Heck maybe they'll make Andreas the patsy and that's why he's called up.

This. From an old defense man perspective Kronwall is clearly best overall defender. Base talent level, execution, vision is a notch higher than the rest overall. Worth mentioning that Green is better than Kronner offensively. Then you have the good specialists: DeKeyser - good defensive player. Could develop into a good 2-way player, but won't reach Kronwall level. Good size and mobility. Green - excellent offensive d-man but average defensively. Reached his ceiling. Quincey - good defensive player. Below average offensive skills. Reached his ceiling. Marchenko - good defensive player. Still raw, but has talent. Could possibly reach Kronwall level. The rest are a notch below those listed overall and should ideally be replaced. I'm not considering our current AHL players.

Dallas gonna be a little different now.. Gonna be a little different. For those who are easily depressed or have a weak heart maybe you should avoid watching on Sunday.

Follow-up on this: Lidström, Fedorov and the other HoF inductees will play a game on Sunday. Question is, as Lidström is right now, could he play one game for the Red Wings, meaning be able to compete for one spot for one game against the other defensemen? What do you think? I'll start. Yes, he would be able to play one game, based on his playstyle, and the fact that he's always in shape. He'd be hurt, not be able to walk for a few days afterwards, but with managed minutes, he'd be just fine for one game. Wouldn't hurt to give him a shot of a painkiller syringe Before the game though even if not hurting (yet).

Agreed, unwise to fire BB. When their first lineup gets planted in the offensive zone and starts firing on all cylinders they are unmanagable due to their size and mobility. With that said, I don't mind if they suck a few more months.

Hot Sauce (Tatar) looked good in period 2 and 3. But his size hinders him in close quarters. Point being I doubt he'll outscore himself this season, what we see is what we get there.

I agree that he was good. I'm onboard letting Andersson do a re-run. Edit: would have preferred Mrazek in goal, he rattled Tampa quite a bit in round 1. Howard still a good second choice.

The Wings looked like the team we saw last year. Good fore-check, especially good d-men initiative moving up the puck and themselves, scrambling things up for Ottawa. Judging from what I saw, they weren't expecting that, felt like they got a few uppercuts from those rushes. Also the Senators looked rather spent last night which probably helped. Anyhow, a good sign from the team, hope we keep it up and get a few skilled bodies in asap. And what a wrap-around from Larkin. Good stuff.

I watched the Calgary-Ottawa game the other night to get a feel for how we'd stack up against the Senators tonight. I have no idea how this game will go. Ain't betting nothing. Just observing and hoping the injured key players return ASAP. And that we survive at .500 until the return of atleast Datsyuk and 1 key D-man.
