2015 SCF : Chicago Blackhawks vs. Tampa Bay Lightning
Jacksoni replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Yep been checking this out, he has a wrist damage of some kind and is rendered ineffective. That kind of guy is nothing without his (excellent) wrists. Might aswell be the waterboy would have been better for the team. With this in mind I pondered playing the Hawks moneyline but backed out. Bad move but the angle wasn't sharp enough. -
Dunno something tells me Cleary will get to hang on someway. Kenny likes him, he has good social skills. It's not what I want but I can see it happen. And anger lots of members on this board. ^^

Jeff Blashill named 27th head coach in Red Wings history

I remember it as 3, but could be mistaken. I'd prefer it 3 as he's a rookie. -

Kenny Holland mentioned it's a 3 year deal. Incidently Kenny's own contract is at 3 years. $2M maybe even 2.5 sounds about right to me. Haven't seen anything on what he'll earn. -

Put 10 bux on the Hawks for game 3, cashed in again (first bet was Tampa for game 2). Again, don't care who wins, but when there's an angle I'll roll the dice. -

That's where I went to bed. Mlive's reporter following the Red Wings tweeted that he absolutely wanted to come back. Daddy like. Check it out. https://twitter.com/ansarkhanmlive -

Great news regarding most importantly Granato but also Chelios. Never quit attitude, played as hard as he could until the age of 47. Superb d-man. 3 time Norris trophy winner. A rock and an asset in any team. -
Granato possibly renegotiating contract with Wings

Ohno this is not good. He was the perfect aid for Blashill. Can have serious impact on this season. -

Heartfelt congratulations to the next head coach of the Detroit Red Wings. May you bring us many wins! -

Don't like it but have put up 10 bux on Tampa. Or rather, couldn't care much who wins. Just want those greens. -
What changes do you think we'll see with Blashill?
Jacksoni replied to Z and D for the C's topic in General
I have written in a post long ago that Jurco was a little soft. But I am for the Wings keeping him. He is young, he has size, he has skill, has grit. He was slightly misused under Babcock. A better fit, a season or two and he'll be a top 6 player on this original six team. I'll bet you. -
What the heck.. Where is the 'None' button? None of those players will have their jerseys retired. It's original six Gordie Howe Detroit, not a florida team playing hockey when folks are suntanning outside and couldn't give a s***. Don't get me too wrong those players are good, Fedorov was probably born on skates. I wouldn't have lifted an eyebrow if he skated in an individual program in the olympics. But they are not generational players. Like Howe. Like Yzerman. Like Lidström. No siree. As a sidenote, I personally nominee Holmström as a generational player and should have his jersey retired at the Joe.

"Huh? There are no goals scored in game yet. Are you sure you're in our universe?" Ehm I responded too the wrong game, sorry about this post lol. Note to self: don't watch 2+ games at once and respond on forums.

Lol made me look twice also, was like "Wtf has a farm league team stolen the Red Wings 4th line checker?? What the heck is going on here?". Had to check out the Utica roster on their webpage to illuminate this mystery.

ECF : Tampa Bay Former Rangers vs. New York New Rangers
Jacksoni replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
Damn guess my rant about Tampa looking spent was correct. Certainly advantage Rangers for the final game when you add to that the king in goal and home advantage. -
WCF : (3) Chicago Blackhawks vs. (1) Anaheim Ducks
Jacksoni replied to Hockeytown0001's topic in General
So who wins game 6 tonight? Slight home advantage but that's about it. Could go either way I think. -
I agree that he probably should retire, but we're missing one point here which is that it seems that he wishes to go one more round. He has been working out and been upping his regimen steadily. Last couple of weeks before we got our heads chopped off in the playoffs he skated with the team when at home. People in Sweden that knows him have mentioned that he wants another go if possible. Guess we'll see what happens at preseason.

Tampa looked spent tonight. It struck me how bad they defended and made small mistakes here and there that adds up. If they are spent and my nearsighted eyes aren't fooling me, I'll reckon the Rangers will cruise game 7. -
Just making a heads up for this youtube cast that has been going along for a while. Arthur Regner and Kevin Allen discuss all things Red Wings, usually for over an hour a time. I was astounded at the low watch numbers. I do recommend the show. I am in no way affiliated with their show, just think some here would like it. Anyway, here goes: Link: https://www.youtube.com/user/Areg75/videos

Couldn't have said it better myself. Especially Kevin Allen seems really locked in on most things regarding Red Wings, even inside info.

signed Dylan Larkin turning pro... will play for GR immediately
Jacksoni replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Nice picture, greatest Red Wings prospect for a loong time. Can't wait to watch him on sunday. But as for him being 190pounds. Right.. Little edit. But I would say over 170 (which I thought initially), around 180'ish. And Mrs. Larkin be looking like a fine mama! -

I feel you. But I watched the world championship, he is 170'ish, which is to be expected at his age. Needs time and a good strength coach, which GR has. Will be fine, but can't rush these things. Gotta let the kid grow physically and mentally. -

Game is on sunday. I agree about Larkin, but even more so as I mentioned a few posts ago, he needs a bigger frame if he's gonna be a top center. I'll add 1 year to your thinking. -

Will be my first live watch of the Griffins. Already allocated the time for it.
