How about Holtby tho. Boy is he awful. Let in 3 goals against the Detroit Red Wings. They don’t even have an Ovi, Backstrom, Kuznetsov, or Oshie, so there is no excuse for him to let in 3 goals. They should trade him or send him down to the minors cause he ******* sucks. This goalie argument is just stupid at this point. Both Howard and Petr have been fine this year. If this team doesn’t stop turning the puck over and making mental mistakes they are going to get lit up no matter how well they are playing. Im still trying to figure out what XO was doing on the game tying goal. He went for a big hit just inside the zone and missed horribly which is what led to Oshie being unmarked in the slot. Smart play on a 6v4.

Yea I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that he's been hung out to dry so far. So many turnovers in the d-zone.

Defense is awful. Give me Cholowski, Hicketts, Hronek, and Sarijaarvi

All 5 of their guys are always open in our end. Team defense is horrible right now.

Mantha, Tatar, and Larkin are all gonna score 30+ goals this season. Wings make it to 2nd round of the playoffs. Hicketts gets a call up 2 months in and leads the defense in points. Drinking and feeling optimistic! Lets go Wings!!!!

Sproul played almost 30 games but he was in and out of the line up constantly. How are you supposed to get into any kind of rhythm when you aren't constantly playing in every game? Also when you are struggling to stay in the line up your game can get away from you. You can try to do too much to impress or at the other end play to conservative to limit mistakes. If you're more focused on when you could get your next shot than on just playing your game things can go south quickly.

I agree that we shouldn't worry about his +/- too much. We saw in preseason that he is very smart with the puck and with positioning in his own end. His skating allows him to break up and create a lot of plays. I want to see if he can push the pace offensively and rack up some points. Get that offensive game going before he makes it to the show.
