Yzerman vs Fedorov. Which one was better?

Had Yzerman been traded for Yashin in the early 90s like Bowman wanted, would you have switched to the Sens? -

Colorado owning Ottawas 1st has been somewhat flying under the radar around the league. I think Ottawa will give it their all to try and compete this year, but IMO I'm fairly confident they're gonna finish close to last if not dead last. If that's the case HOLY f*** did the Avs get a gift horse. Bednar has them back in the playoffs, MacKinnon was on pace for over 100 pts last season, Rantanen was over a point per game at 21 years old, they still have a lot of decent young player who are gonna get better, a ton of cap space, goaltending is soldified, AND they might get a top 5 pick. Landeskog is a dirty player and Colorado is full of hipster dooshers. f*** those guys amirite? -
If Z quits on us, C: Abdelkader A: Kronwall A: Larkin It's @NerveDamage fault. He only posts memes, damn him.

You're insinuating a lot here. I don't recall anyone saying he's being ruined. In fact, I don't think anyone called his deployment misuse either lol. I explicitly stated I would literally be happy whether he continues to be deployed in front of the net or not. I don't feel strongly either way... just that net front wasn't his play style in juniors... I think everyone agrees playing in front of the net made him more productive. Check out his PENIS size (interesting stat thread), one of the biggest on the team for that very reason. Christ. Jesus. s***. -
It's seriously understated how good the kid is... and he just turned 22 two weeks ago. He's like a young Yzerman in a way. The talent is all there, character and compete level all there, just needs to continue to round out his defense and mature physically and emotionally. Sky's the limit in my mind. There's an argument to be made that we haven't drafted a forward of this caliber since 1999 in one Zberg. Note: I use Yzerman and Zetterberg as comparisons very loosely But enough about Larkin...

Better yet, put Ras and Mantha in front of the net on the SAME pp unit. -

The people of the south were mainly Dutch-speaking Flemings and French-speaking Walloons. Both peoples were traditionally Roman Catholic as contrasted with the Dutch Reformed in the north. Many outspoken liberals regarded King William I's rule as despotic. There were high levels of unemployment and industrial unrest among the working classes. On 25 August 1830, riots erupted in Brussels and shops were looted. Theatregoers who had just watched the nationalistic opera La muette de Portici joined the mob. Uprisings followed elsewhere in the country. Factories were occupied and machinery destroyed. Order was restored briefly after William committed troops to the Southern Provinces but rioting continued and leadership was taken up by radicals, who started talking of secession. Dutch units saw the mass desertion of recruits from the southern provinces and pulled out. The States-General in Brussels voted in favour of secession and declared independence. In the aftermath, a National Congress was assembled. King William refrained from future military action and appealed to the Great Powers. The resulting 1830 London Conference of major European powers recognized Belgian independence. Following the installation of Leopold I as "King of the Belgians" in 1831, King William made a belated military attempt to reconquer Belgium and restore his position through a military campaign. This "Ten Days' Campaign" failed because of French military intervention. Not until 1839 did the Dutch accept the decision of the London conference and Belgian independence by signing the Treaty of London. Unfortunately, none of that is true. For too long we have been told lies. The existence of the supposed European country of Belgium has been taken as gospel for years. However, now is the time the truth be known. Belgium doesn't exist. -

Sure, I see you're point. But to be fair it's much easier to score being the net front guy. It's why Abdelkader ended up with the biggest PENIS on the team (please refer to the interesting stat thread). -

I don't disagree, Blash has used him as the net front guy and Mantha has been successful at it. However, that wasn't really his play style until joining the Red Wings. Going forward, if he molds well into a net front guy I'll be happy. If Ras steals that role and he hovers around the top of the circle I'll probably be happy too. -

I take it you agree with Blashhill's approach on Mantha then. If he can make Mantha a legit powerforward I'm all for it, I just don't think it's his natural play style. -

Yessir, 8 goals in 5 games. I would say his puck control is unreal if I didn't know who Pavel Datsyuk was.

They're both shooters and are pretty average at everything else. Seems like Blash is trying to make Mantha into more of a net front guy, but I hope that strategy disappears once Ras joins the team. Not that he's bad at it, but it's like fitting square pegs into round holes IMO. Mantha should be an outside slot shooter like Nyquist and Tatar were/are. Wheeler is not a Nyquist/Tatar/Mantha type IMO
