Oh I think Holland would have signed Vanek regardless of Z DSR seems pretty certain he's finished... I don't know if I buy that, better sources arn't reporting that to the extreme they are. I think Zetterberg will definitely start and play most of the season, but won't be surprised if his bad back suddenly resurfaces around February if we are out of the playoff picture. -

You agree with who? I've never heard this suggested, and don't think signing Vanek in anyway indicates Z is done. What did the team doctors say? -
CAO and Padron are pretty excellent, I think they both source from Dom Rep too thou Idk, I've had Cubans (at least I think) and just didn't understand the hype. They're probably different, but idk about better. Probably beyond my taste buds.

Huh, never had one. Always thought Cubanos were extremely overrated. I've had a lot of Domincans that I thought were just as good if not better. Get that Nicaraguan trash outta here

Ur right There's definitely some question marks on Mantha still. Likely with his compete level, which was always the knock on him. The first 2 months of last season he was nearly a point per game, and then that all went away for the rest of the season. That can't continue, and I think the Red Wings probably wanna see that inconsistency disappear over the next 2 years before committing term to him. Larkin should be pushed to sign long-term.

Not trying to take shots at you, but this is honestly the two dumbest things I've heard in a while. Absolutely no one in their right mind considers this contract an overpayment or considers sending Mantha to GR. Everyone's aware Mantha would have to pass through waivers to go to GR right? Would never happen

From December till the end of the season season he had 26 points in 54 games. Not too bad. But yeah he had 22 points in the first 26 games of the season (October and November). He obviously slowed way down after that, probably because he's lazy and he sucks.
