Sounds like Phaneuf won't waive his NMC despite Senators request. Wonder if they're regretting taking that contract on now. Ducks no longer asking Bieksa to waive his NMC. Sounds like they have a pre-arranged deal in place for Vegas to select the player of Ducks choice. Lebrun predicting the Preds will go the 4-D protection route, and will expose James Neal to Vegas. -

Fleury has waived his NMC for the expansion draft. Bieksa, Phaneuf, and Yandle have all been asked to waive their NMCs, no answer on if they will yet. Friedman reporting that CBJ has a deal in place for Vegas to take Clarkson for a 1st and prospect in return. -

Like Dabs said, I don't think we're a likely dancing partner. I think it will take a 1st and a D-man, maybe a bit less, but we just don't have that D-man. Ducks have Vatanen to trade, NYI has de Haan, Minny has Brodin or Dumba, etc. we don't have that piece unfortunately.

I agree with your points, but you basically just admitted goaltending is not our strong suit. The differnce with MTL and NYR is goaltending literally is their strong suit. Unfotunately, as you said, Price and Lundqvist cant carry them to the cup. I very much want Petr to be the next Dom. But his play, as well as attitude, this season cast serious doubts. Im not going to declare our #1 netminding position solved until he turns it around. Hes a big IF right now. -

And Howard played like a Vezina candidate when healthy this season. Doesnt mean he'll ever win one. None of our goalie prospects have done much of note so far. Ill remain hopefull, but goaltending looks bleak on this team. I dont see us winning anything with this tandem. -
So your original point was he'll protect abby and helm over kids. But you dont actually believe your original point. Your real point the entire time was Holland = idiot. Ok. Another Holland gripe thread, lets do this.

Goaltending might be our weakest position. Howard is too injury prone. Mrazek has attitude and play problems. Coreau is ok one game and god awful the next. Not much in the pipeline to get excited about either. -
