I feel like we have 3 more years of Kane even though he's only signed to one. The good thing is that we have players in our system (Kasper, Danielson, MBN, Johansson, ASP, and Cossa) that could do all the heavy lifting against the top 10 opponents during the regular season and playoffs so players like Debrincat, Kane, Chiarot, and Petry aren't being abused defensively and players like Larkin, Raymond, Tarasenko, Copp, Seider, and Edvinsson aren't having to cover the backend so hard to help those getting abused. The bad news is that our GM and coach are imbeciles. Thanks SCAM. This team stands ZERO chance of winning against top caliber opponents until the youth come in and the DOG SHET TRASH (Chiarot/Petry) is emptied.

Scooping up a bunch of other DOGSHET (Gustafsson, Lagesson, etc) to play around our stars instead of scooping up other good assets (Broberg, Holloway). This is an F of an offseason from our big PLANNER GUY. I won't be surprised if we start the season without 5 of our first rounders in our line up (Kasper, Danielson, MBN, ASP, Cossa). That's stupid.

Is he really though? He signed Raymond for 8 mil a season when he could have signed Raymond for what in January? 8 million. Seider could have been had for 8.5 million per in January. Now what's he going to get? 8.5 - 9 million. The SCAM missed out on an opportunity to nab Broberg and Holloway by not having his ducks already in a row. That's a huge ******* miss. The change to get fully trained first round picks entering their primes for next to nothing comes around once. That won't happen again. We should have been poised and ready to make that move. Nope. Lagesson 2 mil. Gustaffson 2 mil. Holl 3 mil. Chiarot 4.5 mil. Petry 2.5 mil. We have 14 mil tied up in 5 COMPLETE DOG SHET defensemen instead of 8 mil tied up in Broberg (4.5), Holloway (2), ASP (1.25). Broberg - Seider Edvinsson - ASP Johansson - Maatta Wallinder That could have been our defense, and it would have completely kicked ass. Now we have to watch old slow and shet for another year for no reason other than the SCAM being a LAZY GM that sucks.

Problem is we just throw another roadblock in the way. We have 4 defensemen we don't need right now in Lagesson, Chiarot, Petry, Gustafsson, and Holl. We need spots for Edvinsson, Johansson, ASP, Wallinder, and Tuomisto. The SCAM has our young D corp on the Holland plan of not playing until their 2 years past the point they should have entered the NHL.

My Lombardi take from last season: Once a game, he looks like Sidney Crosby. The 19 other times, he looks like a kid named Amadeus Lombardi playing 3rd line center in the AHL. The bad news - he doesn't look like Sid more often. The good news - he has the capability to look like Sid once in a while. He's the player with the most BOOM/BUST potential on the Red Wings. He could end up being then next Kucherov. But yah, he could end up being the next Jurco. Big season for him this year. He's going to see a lot more minutes, and a lot harder minutes. agreed. There is ZERO chance uncle Gary forces the Oilers to play with 13 guys. McDavid is going to be the first player with a contract 20 mil + AAV. It would not surprise me at all if the cap is raised to 100 mil by the start of the 2025-2026 season. We should have plenty of room once that happens. Get Seider done at 9.5 x 8 now and Berggren done at 1.75 x 3. Then we just need to get Husso on LTIR until we're cap compliant. The SCAM made a mess of this. We could have fit Broberg and Holloway into all of this instead of letting the Blue get them. SCAM get's a D- from me this offseason.

Yah, I'm reading some stupid articles about his "comparables". Sorry, but his comparables are not 30 point defensemen that play alongside the team's 1A defenseman. His comparables are other teams' 1A defensemen. Is he Rasmus Dahlin? No. Is he the next best thing, and could he be better than Rasmus Dahlin if they'd stop pairing him with scrubs? Absolutely. Seider is WORTH somewhere between 9.5 million and 10.5 million. If the SCAM thinks he's going to get him for 8.5 because Larkin makes 8.7, then the SCAM is dead wrong. He possibly could have had him at somewhere between 8 and 9 had he redone his contract during the season last year. But he completely BLEW that one. Now Seider and Raymond have the SCAM by the balls. He's got to pony up and get rid of some guys so this whole thing shakes out. Bad General Management.

The SCAM is trying to lowball the 2 best players on the team. He has completely botched up the order of operations. He should have had deals done before the end of last season BEFORE he drafted and signed UFAs. Taking care of foreigners before your domestic talent is STUPID. Raymond and Seider are each worth 9.25 million a season. He's trying to convince their agents that they're worth less and need more seasons under their belt. Nope. Seider is no worse than Darnell Nurse and Raymond is no worse than William Nylander. All of us would be hesitant to make one of those straight up trades if you asked us. The SCAM has 17.5 mil to get 3 players signed and he needs 21. Simple as that. He's trying to do his stars wrong. That sucks.
