If I was a betting man I'd say Sprong will likely find out that most teams out there won't give him what he wants and he'll re-sign with Detroit for 1 to 3 years.

As I've said before - we really don't have any generational talent, or guys close to it...We'll have a 'good' team in Detroit - just not likely to be 'great'. 'Minnesota Mediocrity' is real folks...

Indeed and he could leave certain teams that are at the cap 'off' that list knowing that these clubs are likely not interested in his services nor could they afford him. Trouba is probably going to be a NYR for this upcoming season.

At this point why even bother with him? If he doesn't want to be a Red Wing - fine by me...The last thing we need is some guy who doesn't want to play in Detroit and spreads his discontent throughout the locker room.

His miles on the odometer is getting up there, but hopefully he won't blow a gasket for us these next 2 seasons...With Yzerman being fairly quiet I'm wondering if there's still a trade/s to be made (ahem Trouba)...

Talbot is our next Reimer...Hopefully he and Lyon will share the crease 50/50...Husso can stay in GR until he gets healthy and learns how to stop a puck again (without getting hurt). The way teams are throwing around $$$ there may not be much left for a 2nd rate UFA like Sprong...I wouldn't be surprised if he re-signs with Detroit for a fair raise that works for both sides.

I'd rather not have him if he doesn't want to be here, or is coerced into accepting a trade to Detroit...Don't want some sourpuss donning the Winged Wheel. Nick Leddy was rather useless...Do not want a repeat. Now that Holland is done with Edmonton - rumors are he'll take on some management role in Chicago.
