Not liking our prez isn't a good reason to disrespect our national anthem. Totally classless. -

Since I was a boy I've always stood and sung Oh Canada along with the Star Spangled Banner. Canada has one of the better national anthems, and I can sing it by heart. I can't even name the name of another countries anthem. So to see petty Canadian fans actually booing the star spangled banner is disheartening. Tariffs aren't personal, it's business. But petulant canadians have now made it personal. You need us WAY more than we need you. Act like it. -

Absolute no to giving away kiskinen And for the 978th time chiarot is going nowhere. Say it again. Say it should happen but yzerman unfortunately disagrees with u. ITS NOT HAPPENING. say something interesting for once. -
Poor example. For everytime u post McD getting stopped dangling on a drive, you can post 10 more where he doesnt. In general I somewhat disagree with the basis of the entire argument at hand. Dangling doesnt benefit most players. But it does absolutely benefit the elites ones. Because Its a secondary skill. Skating will never be considered overrated because its so essential to the game. Its a primary base skill every player needs. Dangles arent. Plenty of players can hash out careers without basically ever attempting dangles. But for a player like datsyuk or McD, dangles help take them from good to unreal. It's is like saying air scoops are overrated because most cars dont need them. Youre absilutely right, an air scoop on a drew miller dodge chrystler is retarded. But on a Datsyukian Lambo its pratically necessary to cool the engine. The inverse is hits. Is it overated? IMO probably more so. Why? Cause ever regard on the block can do it. Its also a secondary skill, but its way easier to run into someone than artfully dance around them. Which is why every 4th liner in the league is trained and able to do it. Hits also dont usually directly cause anything. Whereas dangles often lead directly to a scoring chance or goal.

If you want the best mentor for Cossa, that's easily Talbot. A lot of expierence at the NHL level, at a lot of different teams, in a lot of different scenarios. And he seems to be well liked, trusted, and has aged gracefully. Lyon offers none of that. And while closer to his prime, IMO, he has just as much risk of falling off a cliff that an aging Talbot has. IMHO Wings would be stupid to keep Cossa off the roster next year. Its the final year of his ELC, and we will likely be signing Augustine this spring/summer. Trey is making the NCAA and world juniors his ***** this year. He will absolutely need to be elevated to a higher level. Talbot has 1 year left and Cossa can take Lyons spot inorder to pass the GR net to Treydog. Therefore we get a year to elevuate Cossa at the NHL level b4 commiting to a bigger contract for him. Which will be very important considering Augustines current trajectory. In the end, I do not forsee Cossa lasting as a wing for too long... he'll probably earn a 2-3 contract after next year, but he'll be trade bait at the end of that contract, cause it's going to be treyday sooner than anyone realizes. -
My chest swells when I gain the attention of a new M'lady and this happens: M'lady: What's your snapchat? "I dont have one" Insta? "Nah" Facebook? "Nope" ML: ... Omg are you one of those weirdos that has no social media??? "Nah... I'm on letsgowings"

The guys who havent graduated should be on my list of graduates...?
-
Cool. This is this forum. Not that forum.
-
Because it's so simple to build a competant defense. Which is why the Wings definately havent failed to do so for over a decade and counting. You black and call pots kettles too?

This place lacks drive, purpose. We need a mission. An event. A laugh. Holidays are coming up, and a lot of you will be bored. Traveling to see family. Watching A Christmas Carol for the 3rd time that day. Listening to your regarded Aunt Bethany rant about how RFK JR is going to ruin the pizza hut stuffed crust pizza because he's literally communist hitler. And staring at your phone. Bored. Why don't we do something fun instead??? A field trip!!!! What we do is spend the next few days/week organizing here and coming up with ideas, then sometime during these upcoming holidays we pay a visit to our friends at HF Boards. Make some bait threads. Post some cheeky comments. Good ol fashion trolling. Nothing offensive or over the top. But just enough to rustle their jimmies, get some LOLs, and generally disturb the hive. If we stay coordinated and on message, we as a brigade may not even get banned... depending how far we take it. Here's what you need to do if you want to join in the fun: 1. Make a burner account at the HF Boards soon. One you don't care about getting suspended or banned. Then over the next few days/week post a couple times with the account. Dumb stuff like "LGRW!!!" in the GDT will do. This is so when we strike we don't appear like we made all our accounts 5 min beforehand. And if you have time, heck create multiple accounts, so you have a backup when the ban hammers start to fall. (Was also thinking we should coordinate our account names. A lil wink wink to all the former LGW users that are over there. I was thinking using old memorable LGW names would do. Handles like MindFly, Buppy, Crimson, TheAxe, HillBillyRedWings, would be funny and a clever nod that it's us pulling the ruse.) 2. Show up on the date and time of the brigade. Even if you don't have much to contribute or don't want to participate a lot, we still need support replies. Accounts that respond to fellow brigaders bait posts with stuff like "I actually think this guy has a point here". It helps to gaslight the users over there and give the brigade a sense of faux credibility. That's it. Anybody want to play? BUT NUMBER9 I DONT WANT TO GET MY IP ADDRESS OVER THERE. Walk over to your modem, unplug it, plug it back in, you now have a new IP. Enjoy. BUT NUMBER9 IM NOT A MANCHILD ******* THAT ANTAGONIZES OTHERS FOR LOLS. Well I am. And also that place deserves it. I've attempted to play by the rules over there multiple times, and always get banned for the dumbest reasons. Give them your detailed thesis about why Zadina wont be an NHLer 1 year into his career = banned for trolling. Have a civil disagreement about a player with a mod = banned, no reason given. Heaven forbid interesting or differing opinions should exist in their safe hive mind. BUT NUMBER9 I ALREADY POST THERE AND I WILL WARN THEM THAT LGWS EVIL NEFARIOUS ATTACK IS INCOMING, HA YOURE COOKED! Do it ya coont. You're not gonna be able to warn the lot of them, and we'll be hours into a brigade b4 a mod stops in to clean up our mess.

Trouba - 8 pts in 38 games. f*** that fayget lol. He deservez everything hes earned. -
Wings literally had one of the highest scoring offenses and one of the worst defenses last year... You: "haha stupid edmonton and toronto think they can outscore there problems" Im never going to stop thinking its pathetic to mock teams who are clearly better than your own. HEY WINGS BROS EDMONTON WHO WAS IN YHE SCF LAST YEAR IS DUMB RIGGHT? HAHA RIGHT? Take a vitamin or something.

The theories ive heard are 1. Wings suck so no one cares anymore 2. Old 90s style forums like this are dead because of facebook reddit pornhub whatever. 3. Canada is communist now so leaf bros can only go to like 5 websites, us not included. 4. Larger forums like HF have killed off smaller niche hockey forums Reality: i have waged a systematic campaign of lying, gaslighting, bullying, trolling, name calling, intimidating, flexing, manipulating, and general "toxic" behavior in order to drive out the undesirable normies and keep LGW exclusive to me and my true frens

Lol im stupid enough to actually be married

Havent been comnenting much this season since wings have been frags and lions cool. But Keep coming here expecting to see a Buchnelikov comment, but no, yall continue to dissapoint. Buchnelikov is top 10 in KHL scoring. Do you regards realize how impressive that is? Especially at his age? He's the number 1 U21 KHL scorer. Fast. Totally offense oriented winger. Can be our what Vrana was supposed to be if we can keep him off the ski hill. Idk about kucherov level but this kid is definately yzermans current russian steal. I can also confirm he visited the states this past summer to meet yzerman and tour detroit/the states and he stated he wanted to return to the the USA to witness the Wings playoff run. (Seems to be a Tarasenko fan and thought that addition would put us over the top lol). Now that were struggling idk, but kid seems eager to sign an NHL contract

I hate to admit it, but everyday that passes @Scott R Lucidis insane takes about the "Yzerscam" become increasingly more palletable. Scott's the Alex Jones of Red Wings fans. One day he's like "HILLARY CLINTON IS PUTTING CHEMICALS IN THE ICE TO TURN THE TEAM GRAY" and we all laugh and dismiss. Then 2 years later you find out there actually is a problem with chemicals in the water supply that cause frogs to develop additional female genitals... and its not so funny anymore. Yzerman already has a lot of bad moves to account for, with very little success to rest behind it. Its not year 2 or 3 anymore. Its year 6... Hes graduated only 5 draft picks in that time frame. X4 of which are high 1st rounders, and only one a 2nd rounder, who sits every other game... nada from the 3-7th rounds. This is bare minimum for even a bad GM. High 1sts a drunk chimp can hit on 80% of the time. The goalie carousel is a continued yearly mess 6 years later... 6 years in and only NOW we might have our coach..? And by "our coach" i mean SY hard panicked and 180ed to a coaching outsider, who never appeared to even be on the radar, until his first choice flopped HARD... We took on a buyout from holland last year for literalky nothing, if not negative value, in return. He refused to believe in his team and buy at the TDL last year. But also refused to give up on his team and sell. And in the end paid the price of medocrity by being rewarded for his fence sitting and lack of future outlook/planning with nothing. No playoffs and s*** draft rank. He added the trash patch to our sacred orig 6 sweater. Total cursed blasphemy. Ads on the helmets. He's done nothing but fat cat nepotism with the front office. Hiring his brother and his buddies Lidstrom, Draper, Kronwall, and Verbeek, to the most key positions. Theyll never challenge him and in return hell never fire them... he even let draper waste one of the organizations draft picks on drapers own snot nosed kid in the BCHL. Who everyone knew had no shot at the NHL. Multiple wings under yzermans tenure have wound up in the junky program He fired long tenured employee and cult legend Al the zamboni pisser, who we literally named the freaking mascot after. SY tenure is cursed. Okay CRL, #9, or whatever your name is, when are you gonna aknowedlege what Yzerman did right???? ok Well he fleeced Fabbri out of STL... oh yeah but then he paid big to get rid of him for no reason... He also fleeced Walman out of STL too!... oh yeah but then he again paid big to grt rid of him for no reason... Nick Leddy was pretty regarded after the fact I guess Chiarot, JTC, and Copp are pretty C grade signings. Is that good? Tarasenko and Kane are starying to look like s*** Fuqqqq Petry and Gustaffsson are terrible too i almost forgot Not sure the Debrincat move was as good as it seemed in the moment at this point... Damn i was supposed to be saying what SY has done right... well he drafted Seider Edvinsson and Raymond. Not that impresive considering draft position but still good right!..? We are witnessing the after math of a dynasty. IE the gravy train. Yzerman has secured the position he will never be fired from. And despite the clear and obvious failures I just pointed out, most fan dumb goy brains will still respond "nahhh dat yzermun, he good, he wuv detwoit, doin good job to me!" Red wings will be good post cronyism era. Aka post yzerman and his buddies. Guarranteed Lids is pulling a Coffey and coaching his kids PeeWee swedish team while we pay him a salary to do nothing. LiDs WOulDnT dO DaT! You have no idea how ofteb rich ppl get away with s*** like this cause clout. But yeah ur precious wings are different and imune somehow.

³Gentlemen, enjoy these next few weeks. We are currently expierencing what you will call in the future "the good old days". Even if we somehow manage to not take home the lombardi this year, its obvious to the experts, and every fan in the league, that this is the begining of a Detroit dynasty. This team is poised to a win a title NOW, but also setup for it for years to come. Not just because of good contracts and drafting, but because of what this coaching staff and the culture theyve built has proved theyre capable of. We just watched a 5'9" 2nd string corner in Amik Robertson shut down the best WR in the NFL last night in Justin Jefferson. This kinda thing has been the story of the Lions all year. And it is the true source of our power. Our players trust Dan, they believe Dan, they've bought into Dan, and they will go through walls for Dan, and more importanly each other. Our practice squad players will outwork any starter you have. Injuries to key players have little to no effect on us, because we operate as a single cohesive unit. And this all begins and ends with Dan. We are watching the early years of a LEGENDARY coach. A true leader of men. Sure we have brilliant X's and O's guys in Johnson and Glenn supporting him, but I promise you, when Johnson jets for the Bears or the Jags, that magic will not follow him. It takes way more than playbooks and calls to lead a team, and right now our coordinators operate under that safe leadership blanket that Dan has created for them. We've seen many nerds like Johnson around the league accept HC positions and fall flat on their face... What makes Dan different: He has the expierence of a former high level player, he's passionate, he's accountable, and he's willing to bet on his team. >former player - not only do his players automatically respect him more and connect with him better right away for "having been there done that" rather than some fat unkept fuq like Matt Patricia. But he also thinks like a player. Watch those draft episodes of inside the den. He's very specific about who he likes and why he likes them. He's not after raw talent. He wants DAWGS. Guys who play through the whistle, push back, don't stop, carry themselves a certain way. Guys he would want to play next to as a player... >passion - Dan is still playing football. Maybe not on the field, but in his mind he he is. He still worksout like a player, still talks like a player, and still shows all his emotions... like a player would. This earns him that much more trust of his players. They know he could, and would, suit up in the trenches with them and battle if allowed to. But he cant. Instead that passion comes out in the lockerroom. Have you ever seen speeches or post game celebrations more inspiring than dan campbells??? Its not even fuqqing close. And my former points about his status as a former player and what not only lend way more authenticity to him when he speaks like this. The post superbowl inside the den episodes are going to be straight kino FIRE. >Accountability - This mans integrity is next level. He holds himself accountable more than he does his team. We lost twice this season and he deflected ALL blame on to himself both times. Hes shown this team hes not interested at all in protecting his job or his rep, hes focused on something greater than himself. He has a singular focus that transcends his own ego. His players have seen this and adopted this. >betting on his team - this is probably the singular ACTUAL genius thing Dan has done IMO. My first 3 points I believe are just dan being who he is. This is more calculated. Constantly going for it on 4th downs, constantly risking 2 pt conversions, constantly risking dangerous experimental trick plays, refusing to rest players to protect against injury for future more important games... these all scream FOOLISH GAMBLER to everyone at home watching.... but not to his team. To his team it says "I believe in you". I believe I can put my chips on the table every week and you wont let me down. Thats how strongly I believe in this team! When players see that level of faith and trust they will follow you to the gates of mordor itself. It was never about extending that drive. It was never about the extra point. It was never about embarassing the opponent. It was always about sending the message to his players that I BELIEVE YOU CAN DO THIS and I will play this team every game like its our last, and if you trust me, one day IT WILL be the last game, the superbowl, and you will be ready for these moments. Its handing them free confidence everytime, and this team is addicted to it like opium. dan campbell is a confidpium pusher. Hes a true players coach. Something i have rallied against on this board in regards to the red wings... and unfortunately i dont think the NHL has ever seen anything comparable to Dan. A players coach cant just be a nice guy. They must also have the charisma to inspire as well as aN ancillary way of commanding respect and trust. Otherwise you will be percieved as weak. The closest thing is probably Rod the Bod or MSL. Certainly not Trashill or LaLoser. Back to the lions, here are a few accomplishments I want to reflect on: >We just went 15-2 and swept our division in what has been widely considered THE BEST division in NFL history. The Minnesota VikIngs are the first team in NFL history to win 14 games and not achieve a division title. >This team is ranked as the 4th highest scoring team in the history of the NFL. >Aidan Hutchinson led the team in Sacks and QB touches/pressure. He only played in 5 games. >We played the majority of the season riddled with major injuries to our defense. Perhaps worse than anyone. It hardly slowed us. How much more dominant we would have been without this terrible is scary to think about. >2 years into the league TE LaPorta has more receptions than any sophomore TE in history. >Gibbs and Monty have shattered run tandem records. >Kerby Joseph has earned the 2024 interception title >Goff is already arguably the best Lions QB in our 60+ year history. A ring will likely solidify that status. >Vikings announced they had purchased x2000 ford field lower bowl tix for $900 each, and were making them available to Minny fans for $200 each. Essentially taking a $1.6 mil loss to try and invade our turf. Its being reported that MANY of those tix ended up in Lions fans hands lol. Apparently Detroiters figured out that when you tried to purchase these subsidized tix from Minnesota, all you had to say was "im not a viking season ticket holder, but I was referred by one" and done, tickets are yours loyal viking fan lol. I saw very little purple at the stadium last night. Vikings owner may very well have taken $1.6 million dollar bath to get like 400 fans into ford field... YIKES! There's only a couple of way I can see this team screwing up what should be an easy "dynasty". 1. Goff starts to decline at some point and we are unable to replace him. There's going to be a crucial time period in the coming years when this team is still in its prime, but Goff is aging out. Its going to be insanely important to draft a solid QB and insert him as starter at the correct time. Ideally after at least 1 or more years of study under Goff. Therefore we probably need to make serious play for a high level QB in the draft in the next 0-3 years. Any Joey Harringtons and we're in trouble... 2. While the team is setup for longterm future sucess in many key positions, our probowl level O line is going to age quickly. Zeitler, Decker, and Glasgow are all in their 30s now. Ragnow isnt far behind. We have some good kids like Mahogany, but nothing is certain yet. To replace these guys we are going to potentially have to draft 1-3 high level blockers over the next few years. That could take multiple years of drafting. Adressing that need means directing draft capital away from other positions. So hitting on young line men at the draft will be extremely crucial to continue solid protection for an aging Goff and/or young newcomer QB. This offense could be flipped on its head without the people mover O line... 3. Glenn and Johnson brain drain - Assuming these two truly are geniuses, and their departure exposes Dan as a regarded meathead with no true tactics beyond inspiring men... Doubtful of this, but a reasonable possibility none the less. Team has to prepare some new, and more powerful, apprentices like yesterday. Fortunately it looks like Teddy Bridgewater is already going down that path. 4. Contracts - proper pruning of the roster is what makes or breaks NFL teams. Cap bonus penalties from bad contracts can destroy anyone. Brad and Dan have proved they can build a roster... it remains to be seen if they are shrewd enough to maintain one. This means letting great players like Davis, Reader, Anzalone, even Montgomery, walk at contract end. Getting trapped into contracts like the Saints, like the wings were with Ericsson, Abby, Nielsen, will kill the lions, but worse in the NFL because of bonus structure. I already am not completely thrilled with the Monty re-sign. Gibbs has proved he can handle the load and is in his prime. Monty could save him health and mileage.. but hes what already 28 or 29? The wall for running backs comes quick. Dont wanna be wasting cap on a guy that Vaki can replace in a year or so. Anyway thats my ted talk. TLDR: Lion dynasty now. Campbell is the GOAT. Get off our bandwagon regard fans whos teams didnt make the playoffs. We are not your charity underdog playoff girlfriend team "you hope wins for the story" and cause we deserve it cause lol so bad for so longgg. Fuq you. We hate you. You clowned on us for years. I would sooner kill u and drink your blood than let u even steal a glance at holy jared.

Detroit Red Wings: A New Era Under Todd McLellan
Jimmybigrigs69 replied to LeftWinger's topic in General
LOVE what Todd has done with the forward lines. Minor tweeks, but OBVIOUS ones that needed to happen, that apparently Lewsy was too blind to see... >Veleno to the 1st line. About time. Kid is looking better and better everyday, and appears to be on the cusp of a major breakout. My only gripe is Veleno is at wing and Larkin at C. Swap them. Larkin's speed is more condusive to the wing, and jumpin joe needs to continue his development as a key shutdown center. >Tarasenko on the right side. Wow it's almost like even Helms dog, Justin Barkdelkader, knew that's where he's played his literal entire career... crazy that that is working for him... >Larkin not on the PK... MY GAWD ITS FINALLY HAPPENED. Only took multiple regarded coaches and 300 years b4 one semi decent journeyman coach with half a wrinkle on his brain could see the obvious. Say it with me folks: DYLAN LARKIN IS NOT A PK FORWARD . Repeat that 20 more times. For the luv of gawd we cannot EVER go back after this. Not every 1st line center we draft is Pavel Datsyuk or Henrik Zetterberg. Stop forcing it. Our EV lines and special teams are going to be much better now and lucky boy Todd is probably laughing that he is going to reap the rewards of something that should have been done 5+ years ago. Looking back it kinda sucks that SY wasted so much valuable time on dicktards like Trash and Lewsy. How much farther along would this rebuild be by now if he had just scooped up the veteran disciplinarian day 1? Reporter: what coaches have the wings found success with? KH and SY: Bowman and Babcock Reporter: what kind of coaches were they? KH and SY: hard ass discplinarians who stomped on their own players balls Reporter: so what kind of coach will you hire next? KH and SY: someone nice who can inspire players with the power and magic of friendship ... KH and SY: oh noooo why is my team soft and bad oh noooooo
