Mrazek traded to Philly for Conditional 3rd and 4th Picks
LeftWinger replied to hankzet40's topic in General
Hell that should've been in there! If they win the Cup it becomes a 1st in 2018 (they have 2 of them) and a 2nd in 2019. Not saying Holland got fleeced, he did very good, but what is one more condition between friends? -
We need more trades NOW! You open the doors Kenny, let the flood begin! We all know you have deals on the table, don't make us wait until Monday! Howard to Isles! Helm to Boston! Glenny to Toronto! Nyquist to Nashville! Tatar to some contender! Green to Tampa! We're all ready for this to happen!
-
Wait a minute! Karlsson still has ONE more year left on his contract! Wouldn't it be funny if 6 or 7 players are dealt by Monday? Then maybe I could "gloat" some too! Green, Mrazek, Helm, Nyquist, Glendenning, Howard, Tatar. Most of those players have had teams linked to them, now you post this and we have a team linked to Helm. Even though TSN insiders said they will shop him, but it'll be hard to move his contract. I always trust the TSN insiders. I am still surprised there is no interest in Ericsson though. I bet that "bad contract" Boston wanted to send was Matt Belesky. $3.8m in the minors. No thanks, I'll keep Helm in that case, he makes a good 4th liner with Abby. Now if you wanna send just a pick I am in! The Green case is interesting. Willing to waive only to TPA? That kind of sucks, so there will be no bidding war. Detroit wants a 1st, but will take an NHL ready prospect and a 2nd. I guess I am ok with that. Give me Foote, Howden, Raddysh or Volkov and a 2nd and we can call it done.

That's beautiful! HE doesn't quite have The Turtle down yet... I can image he hates the Red Wings or anything to do with them. When he was in grade school, he probably got made fun of after his dad got his arse pummeled by McCarty. ...wait, that was 21 years ago, he was probably in diapers or less...damn I'm old!

Tank for Dahlin...Tank for Hughes. Another year of Howard in net will guarantee us a lottery pick in 2019! Maybe Kenny still trades Jimmy next Monday? -

I was referring to the general members with that statement. That is why I said "who used to be who" so it didn't point a finger in your direction. Apologies for it seeming otherwise. -

As much as you guys insult me and break all the rules, none of you have any room to pull out the rule book on someone. Biggest rule break is getting banned and coming back under a different name. Everyone knows who used to be who, so those folks should just keep quiet about forum rules. This trade just goes to show, ALWAYS trust TSN insiders like Dreger and Mac. I love it! This alone makes it ok to cheer for Philly to win it all! #LetsGoFlyers! -

and Suter agreed to come here, so even though his wife ruled the final decision, you can essential add him to the list of top UFA's that "came" here.I happen to think we have a very good shot at JT. Even up until Stamkos re-signed in TPA before July 1, ALL the insiders, including Father McKenzie had said if he hits July 1 it'll be between Buffalo and Detroit. Toronto was mentioned a few times as well, so even with him, the insiders had us in the top 3 UFA destinations if he chose no to re-sign. We have the money, we have a very good shot at JT if he doesn't re-sign. https://twitter.com/prohockeyrumors/status/965743804782448642 What does Chicago think, NOW they are going to sell and tank for Dahlin?

Just gonna say Suter's wife chose Minny over us. Per Bobby Mac, he did have a verbal agreement with Detroit, his old nag didn't want to live in the area. Its ok, they won't win a Cup there anyhow.

If y'all get back on topic, you'll see that Detroit and Philly are back in negotiations for Mrazek...

sorry, I was checking to see if the tweets would show up if I quoted it. Strange,it usually shows up like its is on twitter...

..and like I said, those names have been linked to teams as TDL acquisitions, so its not a stretch to see 4-5 players trade next week.

Not Mantha. If we really want to be a s***s and giggles armchair GM, how about this: Trade Green to team A for a 1st and prospect that will make the team next season (that is what they said Holland wants on the broadcast last night ). Then turn around and trade that acquired 2018 1st, Tatar (because NSH wants Nyquist) and a 2019 2nd for Karlsson. Would that do it? 2018 acquired 1st, Tatar, 2019 2nd. The 2nd is going to still be in the 30's in 2019.

It doesn't matter what it would take to get him via trade. Not many Cup contenders would be willing to pay the price, so he more than likely wouldn't be moved to a contender. He'd be moved to a team that is out of the playoff race and the 1st rounder would be more attractive to Ottawa. If he is dealt to a team that is also out of the playoffs, he more than likely won't be re-signing there. Keep our assets, see what he wants come July 1. We have to be in the top 5 teams he'd like to play for. It's been joked about, but if we make the right adjustments and moves before July 1, he just may take a sweetheart deal to play here BECAUSE he is so close to our Swedish guys. Honestly, with the way E has played this season, it may be a pretty nice thing to see Karlsson - Ericsson as our top pair. I know we've dogged E a lot over the years (especially me) but once Green is gone, E has really been our most reliable D. Put Karlsson with him and if E keeps it up next season, that would be a very good to great combination of an offensive D and a defensive D.

I have said before we don't NEED to trade either of them, but the more I think about it, I am fine with trading BOTH of them. If there is any water in the Iles rumor, then make the Howard deal and get an average Goalie back to finish up the year. Trade Mrazek for the best return he can bring, I guess if a 3rd is the best, then so be it. We'd have Halak and Coreau, but maybe something will present itself come summer. I am just so tired of the inconsistency of both of the Goalies ad don't really want to move past this season with either of them. Howard I have been done with for years, even though Petr is doing better recently, I am fine with trading him (or not qualifying him July) as well. We'll find a goalie. IF we are able to draft a couple good players that have great potential (Dahlin would help) and attract maybe JT and/or Karlsson, we will find a goalie. Once the team shows that it is back in the winning column more than not, plus looking like a bright future, UFA's will once again look our way, and we will be on that "Accept a trade to" list for the NTC's players once again. Right now we have over $12M in Cap for next year (rumor has it Cap will go up as well) we have 5 RFA's that we need to re-sign. AA, Larkin and Mantha will probably suck up $9M-$10M of that $12M. I don't expect Bert or Frk to get too much of a raise. If we can trade XO, Jimmy, Gus, (rumored) Glenny and maybe Tatar as well as one of Helm/Abby(not all at deadline, but maybe before July 1) we'd open up a ton of Cap space to try to lure JT and possibly Karlsson here. I know we would still need a goalie, but honestly, with an improved team and D (especially if we were able to draft one of the top 3 D in the draft) if wouldn't be so bad as it sounds by trading all those players. Besides, I'd still LOVE to try and get a lottery position for 2019 and try to land Jack Hughes for our #1 Center spot. Bobby Mac says that if he were eligible for the draft this season, he would be the one player to knock Dahlin off the #1 spot. I realize this is a lot to happen, and it probably won't. But at least there have been rumors out there that we are shopping a Goalie, XO, and there has been interest in Nyquist and Tatar. So honestly if Holland has a true fire sale, trading those guys along with Green at the deadline is really NOT out of the realm of possibility... Even if we just go with the names that have been attached to teams: Green to TPA, XO to MTL, Nyquist to NSH, Howard to NYI, Glenny to TOR, that alone is a huge firesale. Then I would still hope that Holland is active at the draft and shopping around Tatar and Helm. I think either way, even if Howard is the one traded, Mrazek will not be here net season either. So we stand to clear a TON of cap space and at the very least can EASILSY re-sign our RFA's and put a serious offer in on JT if he wants to listen, either that or a huge offer on Karlsson, and you know with the Swedish connection, he will at least listen. ESPECIALLY if we are able to get this Dahlin kid! This is going to be THE TDL and off-season that puts the bookend on Holland's tenure as GM. Yes, get what we can for players, but most importantly, get MANY, MANY draft picks, clear cap, get a high lottery pick and make a HUGE signing or two on July 1.
-
If our goalies really aren't worth that much, then screw it, trade both, get what you can. The next two drafts are supposed to be deep? Then get all the picks you can! How about Mrazek for a 2019 2nd? Whatever happens we cannot qualify him. He'll sign that deal in an instant. WE NEED THE CAP SPACE. JT may not come here, but just like with Stampkos and Suter we have to have the cap to make an offer, we'd be stupid not to.
-
No no no to trading for him. We are acquiring assets to rebuild this team, trading for him would cost too many of those assets we have already. If he wanted to test UFA and sign here on a Swedish discount, I'm all for it! No to trading for him...can't say it enough. I will help you goat because I too believe he may come here cheaper than somewhere else. If that is what you are referring to when you say "pull and Andersson."

You know, a Wings player getting a hat trick is so rare anymore that you would think Arbys would up it to a Large Curley Fry....
