What the hell....i could've swore Holland said he was 17 when he drafted him...f*** Holland. Still, having an 18 year old of my own, I am still in awe if these kids. I guess when I picture my son as a baby, I relate these kids the same way since they are the same age.

I think I remember Mantha was the youngest player drafted the year we took him. I know he was 17. Amazing these kids are. I'm in awe of them all.

Doesn't mean it doesn't happen, just means that prospects don't always say who they've met with. It'd be different if it read " it's not often a team has dinner with a prospect..."
-
Yes he will... ...and they'll find a way to draft Hague in the late 1st. Future set!
-
They love this kid. If he has to Holland will trade up to get him.

2017 Stanley Cup Finals: Nashville Predators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

That'll do nicely preds. -
That would be a Holland-type draft. I won't lose my s***, I will be super mad though. I won't burn jerseys. I will watch, so I can be right about Tippett and Hague. While Pettersson s***s the ice and small euro-D never makes it to the NHL. But you got Holland Down, good job! I think everyone is more excited to see me the next couple of months than to see the team get better. You'll all be disappointed when I just laugh at Holland's idiocracy. But let's see if he indeed blows his 1st and 2nd round picks. Besides, what does not watching them anymore have to do with being on the board?

What about this guy? https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2017/06/league-interest-raddysh.html

If Holland is able to convince Vegas to take a $4M-$5M contract, plus trade away about $8M-$10M more, before the start of the season, I will be very grateful.

For a few years he was. Late 80's, he was considered the 3rd best in the NHL behind those two. https://www.si.com/vault/1989/03/20/119567/no-3-with-a-bullet-motowns-steve-yzerman-the-nhls-third-brightest-star-could-climb-even-higher-on-the-charts -
Wasn't aware we were replacing them. But would like to have Scott Stevens as an assistant.

Looking at the full list, is there anyone you'd use one of our many lower round picks on?

2017 Stanley Cup Finals: Nashville Predators vs. Pittsburgh Penguins

Didn't know it happened. So it was 5-1 at one point? The way I see it is, don't do Nashville any favors. Overturning a 5-1 goal has no impact on the game. Overturning the 1-0 goal changed the momentum of the game. Uncle Gary strikes again! -

What the f*** happened? I turned it off it was 1-1... -
Scott Stevens resigned his position as assistant coach in Minny...wonder if he would like a job in Detroit? That'd be a nice target for the Wings.
-
Also, then we'd have to protect him and expose another forward.
-
I don't think Kenny would give up the picks to sign him though...
-
I said that I wasn't suggesting that it was going to happen, but if it came down to it, you know as well as I do, Holland will send a waive exempt guy down just because he can, if he has too many forwards. We shouldn't be in that situation, but I was just saying, if we got there, Holland can and would send down waiver exempt players...can't say it hasn't happened. But Ya, I do agree, with only 10 forwards signed, the odds are no way it happens. But even if we do lose a forward to Vegas, that leaves 9 signed, make it 11 with Tatar and AA re-signing, we still have roster room for 3 more forwards, I am kind of doubting he will fill those 3 spots all with Griffins...
-
Think about this, lose a forward to Vegas, trade a forward in a package for a Defender. Now we're down to 8 forwards signed. Remembering that if push came to shove, both Mantha and AA are waiver exempt. Not that I'm saying they should start in the A, but it's possible to do if we acquire multiple players at the forward position.
