I get more heated because of people's foolish remarks. I simply said it's not chemistry or he'd have more goals and our pp would be better because of this chemistry. And I get the remark I got. But I'm with you, just a bit more animated about it. IMO, when next season starts this team should be without Nyquist, Tatar, Helm, Ericsson and Howard. We'd be no worse than we are now, plus we'd have a ton of cap space and our kids will take over the team. Rebuild started. There is no chemistry right now. There is no retool, reload, no master plan to add a piece and be back in contention. Despite what some think.

So he scores 2 goals in one game and it proves he has this undeniable chemistry with Z and also proves why he should and does have TOP 6 minutes for the season over someone else who deserves it? My point is, if he has all this chemistry he'd have more than 9 goals 1/5 of which came last night in one game. You slappies talk about me making him my new Franzen? He's junk, he's s***, he ******* sucks. playing him in the top 6 is one of the major reasons this team will miss the playoffs and destroy a streak that we held dearly. He is a major part of the reason Mr. I died having a team that is worse than when he bought it. Nyquist disgraced the Ilitches and Mr. I's legend. Nyquist shouldn't even see the ice in a Wings jersey ever again. I can't wait until he's traded or claimed by Vegas.

Watching the tsn feed, they just said Blashill told AA that playing 1 good game in 3 is just not good enough...what do you think his advice to Nyquist, Abby, Sheahan, Tatar, etc...was? "Gus, you've sucked all year, here's #1 line for you. You don't need to earn it." I hate the way this team is run right now. Nyquist shouldn't even be near the top line..yes I ******* hate him, so what, even if I liked him he still doesn't deserve top minutes....

Ya, and if that's the case, I'd rather keep the pick and draft one of the guys I mentioned. But they wouldn't be moving up, they'd have our pick and theirs. So they have 2 in the top 10, including 1 in the top 5. But they'd still probably want one of those players in return.

Trading the pick goes back to our ideas before the deadline. Our 1st plus a player to WPG for Trouba and a 2nd. We could throw in one of our many 3rds as well. But now we don't have the high powered guy in the top 5. It's a tough road having a lottery pick.

We could just put Tippett with Nielsen and Larkin. AA-Z-Mantha Larkin-Nielsen-Tippett Nyquist-Helm-Tatar Sheahan-Glendening-Abby Of course were losing someone, so who knows how it'll round out.

so, question, if it's fair to say that if The Red Wings(TM) make he playoffs, it'll be because Zetterberg willed them in and carried them, ya? So if they fail to make the playoffs is it because he didn't carry them enough or will hard enough or is it because of a bad team? I bet we get #4. They'll give Vegas #3, since they have the same odds as us right now, but anyhow, at #4, these are my picks: If we're going D, I am taking Nic Hague. Every rankings I look at Liljigren moves back a bit, then moves up, then back. I've seen Hague do nothing but go up, he is currently ranked the #2 N/A Defenseman in the draft. I've heard a bit about Cale Maker, but I'm looking for a great two-way Defender. If we're going O, then I am taking Tippet. Say what you guys will about a center, but we do have Larkin and AA who are going to be dynamite centers after Z and Nielsen are either gone or moved down the depth chart. AA and Larkin are going to be (hopefully) around a long, long time to be the #1 and #2 centers here. Plus we don't have many good RW prospects, our best are Frk and Nastasiuk. Tippet on the right hand side of either of those two should make them even better. Plus, he could possibly step right in next season, all depending on who we lose to Vegas in expansion. If we drafted a center, there would be nowhere to play him next season. Now, unless we lose Helm, Sheahan or Glendening in expansion, the centers have nowhere to move down to. Plus if we did lose Helm, lets say, maybe Larkin fills that or it goes back the Sheahan. This all depends on the expansion and if Holland moves anyone before then or before the Amateur Draft. But I am hoping (at #4) for either Tippet of Hague.

Yes, not because I think he's the answer, but like mentioned above, you'd be opening up a good amount of cap, plus two roster spots and years on a contract. I'd take flip at $5M for 1 year to get rid of both of their contracts.

You don't have to doubt it. Holland said on 97.1 that mcilrath was acquired to be in GR. He said that he will be evaluated the rest of the season in GR. He probably won't even get re-signed. I'm think Holland just acquired him to use as a player to leave unprotected in the hopes maybe he won't lose another young D. But someone here is going to be very mad that The New Dylan didn't get the call...

I can agree that if the entire Red Wings system and philosophy is overhauled, Nyquist could thrive again. But in all honesty, I can't see that happening. I still believe that Abby and Helm gets protected and one of Nyquist/Tatar gets exposed...but, we'll see! Here's a question, so we can get away from the arguing, what if he protects Sheahan, which TWO of the four being debated do you think get exposed?

Then I guess it's Helm then...guess we'll see soon enough who gets taken.

It was time. Even last season we only made the playoffs because Boston didn't. Similar to the year prior. Maybe a few players would've had a few more goals, Abby comes to mind, but in reality it wouldn't have made too much of a difference.
