Can't believe we are talking up Crosby in our forums! But, you can't argue how good he is. Another thing that separates him from Kane...off ice behavior. I don't recall ever hearing about Crosby assaulting anyone, or being accused of rape.

But as pointed out, he is far from one dimensional, plus I believe he will be one of our future captains, so that helps with the term of the deal. I take Abby over Nyquist anyday.

What do you think it would take to acquire Okposo's rights and Hamonic from the Isles then what would it take to turn Hamonic to the Jets for Trouba? Also if I'm going youth over our own UFA's, I wouldn't mind trying to get Rychel to add to our mix of kids, but then again there's that expansion thingy....maybe after expansion I'd try to get him.

I think every year there are a bunch of disappointed people here. I guess what may happen at the draft will have a lot to do with where Holland goes on July 1. If he dumps Dats and Jimmy's salary and proceeds to trade a couple of forwards and a couple of D, then we know something is going to happen or he hopes to.

if that is the case, you protect Mantha and AA, leave Nyquist/Tatar unprotected, a team can only lose ONE player anyhow. so its not like they would lose all the players they leave unprotected. Protect AA, Mantha, Abby, Larkin, Sheahan, and whichever 2 top tier players they sign. If any of those listed can be exempt, then throw the protect on Z. On D you protect Dekeyeser, top defender they sign or acquire, one of the kids. Goalie of course Mrazek. That leave would leave (unless they are traded) Tatar, Nyquist, Pulkkinen, Jurco, Glendening and possibly Z all unprotected up front, Kronwall, Ericsson, Green and a few kids unprotected on D along with McCollum and Coreau at G. Holland will probably sign a BU goalie for Petr, but probably only 1 year deal. If he isn't traded, Smith will be a UFA after next season so I think he wouldn't need a protection.
