Saddest thing is, The Wings have the second highest payroll in the NHL, factor in Franzen a money and they are tops. That's the problem. When you have the highest payroll in the league and barely make they playoffs and can't score more than 2 goals or score a PP goal or stop a PK, etc...something is wrong. That something is Ken Holland. He gave way too much money to mediocre players and much too long of contracts and too many NTC'S. Even if Holland could find takers for Howard or Ericsson, he'll for sure have to retain salary. Thus hindering our cap.

I agree. If I was Pav, I'd ask to leave now. He is just as broken as Z, but you'd think the would rally and show more umph for what could possibly have been his last game at the Joe. Outside of the Glenny line (which I like) and AA along with Larkin, it was a pretty lackluster showing from the rest of the team considering that fact. I wish we had some D that could get the puck to the net. Maybe try Smith on the PP next game? Not sure if he played there tonight.

Oh I hear you. You guys know my disdain for Howard and Helm and KFQ. I call out bad players, not because of where they're from. Bottom line is, has hockey players, Z is broke down, Kronwall is too, E stinks and Nyquist has like 2 goals his last 20 games. But they aren't they only issue of course, but outside of Nyquist, they're our veteran leaders and it pains me to see them show no heart or to get so much icetime that they are exposed for the shadow of a player they used to be. I'll curtail my words and chose them more wisely, but it's not my fault they are all the same nationality. Instead of listing all their names I just say "The Swedes." But I won't do that anymore.

Saying they care more about National Play than the NHL is not racist. Sorry, it just seems like they don't care. Maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way, but more times than not, crap goes south when they're on the ice. Of course it's not their fault they get so much playing time. It's obvious Holland controls who gets the icetime. We're not even coaches and we can see who deserves more and less ice. Holland needs "his" players playing. If he doesn't trade Pav's contract I'm going to kick him in the balls a piss in his rice krispies.

Here's the kicker....The Swedes will all go out together tonight for drinks and spend some of their multi millions on the most expensive drinks like they didn't even play tonight. They'll probably invite Herman to tag along. Swedes care more about National play than they do the NHL.

I honestly don't think I can watch game 5. The same players play all but 6 seconds of the last 1:38 with the empty net. Larkin, AA got 6 freaking seconds...that is crappy coaching.

That kind of cover should be called for delay of game. Also, the whole making the save a purposely deflecting it over the glass should also be called. Maybe the GM'S can discuss this crap.

I'm not so sure. Those three seem to be playing with the most heart. Just got to keep them together so they can grow together.
