I like Nick, wish he were in Detroit, but obvioiusly the "fan glasses" I wear blind me from reality. It's (painfully) obvious where the organization holds (both) Jensen and Sproul. If they were as good as my "glasses" tell me, they would've had some call-ups (not just to sit in the press box) and gotten some serious looks, like XO has. If neither of them never make the NHL in Detroit, I am still a fan and hope they stay in the organization for a long time. Taking my glasses off, it would still suck (on a personal level) if either of them did get claimed off waivers next season. I am a being real and coming to the conclusion that the odds of either of them becoming Detroit Red Wings permanently is most likely out of the question. Holland and Co. don't wear the same "glasses" as I do and would have had one of them up in XO's role if they were good enough. I still hope, since I am a fan of both, that somehow they get up here and wear the Winged Wheel forever, but even with that being said, I sure hope Holland can at least get something in return for them instead of just waiving them. If they were to clear good, then, I can still root for them to one day, possibly, hone their game in the right direction and score (pun intended) a coveted spot on the Detroit team!

I wonder if in situations like yesterday, where both Holland and Blashill pretty much told the team, by not making a deal, that you guys ARE my team and we believe in you, I wonder if the players get a boost of confidence and actually play harder subconsciously? It's not like they don't play hard prior, but do you think, in their heads, there's like a sense of relief and pride that actually makes them play harder? I tell you what, I couldn't watch the entire game, it was on across the room, but when I could look up at it , it looked like the fastest Wings team I have seen in a long time! Speaking of fast, we all know how fast Larkin is, but do you think AA is just as, if not a bit faster? Also referring to my statement above, it just looked like the guys who were mostly tossed around out there in trade availability (Helm, Nyquist, Howard) really looked like the were playing on cloud 9...it was nice to see. They probably had that sense of what I mentioned above, for sure! Hopefully it'll translate into the rest of the season leading us to 25 straight years! Good on All of them!

Well, hopefully Petr's grrrrrrrroin feels better for Chicago. If Jimmy has a "jimmy" game in the 1st, we may just see if Coreau is ready!

I give Jimmy his props tonight, but he was let down by no offense and Smith making a Mite play....every defender is taught to take the pass away! UGH!!!! ARGH!!! ******* TPA won to get to 70 points and we are at 69 in 4th place! Still in a Wild Card, but so close to not being there at all! Holland needs to make a deal or the playoffs are history! Smith is back on my trade list! Get rid of him!

couldn't watch the whole thing. Jimmy deserved the W, he got us the 1 point for sure....AA is about as if not just as fast as Larkin, those two can fly! Smith sucks...period. He played that 2 on 1 like the worst hockey player ever! Even kids know to NOT play the man with the puck and take away the pass! Leave the shooter to the goalie...Hockey 101. Seriously, last season he was lights out, even in the SO ( I guess the word historically was wrong to use) but much like Dats, it just seems like forever since he's scored a SO goal, I just figured since we were 1-4 in the SO, sending out the same ol' players was a mistake. If Larkin were not ill, I am sure he would've been out there, but maybe trying 3 guys not scouted as much could've helped. But Blash is in charge.

just getting in from my drive down, all I have to say is Nyquist has historically been horrible on the SO and Dats hasn't scored a SO in what seems like years, so lets put those two out there. The only thing worse would've been Z instead of Richards. Z hasn't been good in the SO either. How about we send out some players that haven't been scouted as much, if at all? AA, Jurco, Pulk...always hear complaints that Pulk can't get enough room to get a shot off, but when he does he usually scores, well what's more room than a breakaway one on one? Still may have lost, but why send out the same stale shooters? No wonder they're 1-5 in the SO.

Nice to see Mrazek starting again after his crappy game. This show's he IS, if anyone had any doubs left around the NHL, that he is the #1 on this team. Let's hope the D can step it up and protect Mrazek from getting pelted again...plus Pit was pretty aggressive near the crease, bumping Petr on multiple occasions, we need to knock some heads and protect him.
