Just as a certain user predicted about 3 years ago, Petr will push Jimmy out of his #1 spot within two years. It was a year behind, but hey, us Petr slappies knew talent when we saw it. Jimmy's annual choke job come season's half way point happened again, and Blash had no problem turning him into the backup. Jimmy Howard, backup goalie. How many times can we (and I mean all the folks that get berated on here about certain players and injuries and etc...) how many times can we be right? Anyhow, great win, great shutout and yes, I am partying a bit, but oh well! Here's another one to you! Cheers! How long until Jimmy requests a trade?

Well, someone will need to take Kindl, when Q gets back (even though I am not a fan of his) where is K going to go? They most certainly (well, I guess I shouldnt say MOST certainly) won't be sending Marchy back to GR. They will need the cap space, because Miller is due back soon as well, and they won't be able to do it by sending Marchy down. They'll need to dump more than that. It's best to try to dump him for something....its just too bad when healthy we are way up against the cap, too many overpaid D-men in Kronner, E and Q...for what they bring.

I'd take him in a heartbeat, but not for AA. That in terms of development is overpayment. They may accept a draft pick and a NHL player like Andersson or Jurco. Not that I want to trade Jurco, but Rychel is dynamic and just needs the opportunity to showcase it. I remember he was one of the 4 or 5 guys I wanted Detroit to draft if Mantha was taken before them. Columbus just isn't the opportune place for a young budding star to play. If you want someone to "pull the piano" for Pav, this guy is heads and tails better and offensively more adept than Helm in that role. Tatar - Pav - Rychel....that would be something to watch! ...and if CBJ wants D, I would surely throw K and a prospect out there for some bait. Maybe not one of our top 4 kids, but maybe a Nedomlel and Kindl along with maybe the 3rd we get from TOR.

They should include a southern team in this. Maybe Florida vs. Minny...

Well when we trade Helm, then Miller can have his spot back...or better yet, rotate Helm and Miller. Guarantee the PK gets better when Miller returns.

Hell you got 2 more RH'd defensemen in GR just waiting to get their chance, but the roster is filled with useless lefties like Erection and Kindl and an abysmal Kronwall...dump the chumps and you gain more RH'ers...

As of today, the Wings have 7 players on their roster between the ages of 23 and 25. A few younger and a few older. With the players around 24 years old, it got me thinking about what a great time of their life right now. 24 years old seems to be that point in your life where you aren't a kid anymore but just not quite to that adult age of 25 where everything seems to speed up and you are an adult officially for everything you do. I also got to thinking about my life at 24 years old and it was absolutely the best year of my life. Here are some of the things that were happening when I was 24: Kurt Cobain was found murdered (yes I believe that) Fedorov was Hart and Selke Winner Rangers won their last Cup Dallas won the Super Bowl Forrest Gump and Pulp Fiction were the hottest movies Baseball cancelled the World Series Clinton was accused of Sexual Harassment (go figure) OJ Simpson....well we all know about that! Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding happened The Internet REALLY took off for the world! I had many "girlfriends" that year and was on fire if you know what I mean! Spent a long weekend in Myrtle Beach and hooked up with a girl named Stormi, and yes that was her real name. I took a road trip to Toronto with my best friend and spent a weekend on Younge Street that will NEVER be forgotten! I met my soon to be wife on December 7th that year, funny story, since I was such a hit with the ladies that year, I remember saying when I found out she was interested in me, that I'd f*** her, but I ain't gonna be her boyfriend....uh.....here we are 21 years later, still together, 3 boys, 2 houses and I love her more today than ever (until tomorrow that is.) And just like I mentioned above, since then, time has gone by SO fast that it still seems like yesterday! What was going on in your lives when you were 24?

hate to sound like a homer, but that trip was on purpose, you can read the body language. Refs blew that...now we need offense, I know, lets put Helm in the top 6. We need our savior Abby too, lets keep him in the top 6 too! Lets see these two most deserving top 6 players do something to help us!

The one thing I don't get is, why is he so bent on keeping Abby and Helm in the top 6? He has to see it's not working. I thought hiring him was going to be about a new approach and new philosophy to coaching...outside of Larkin, these are the same lines as or former coach played. Maybe our former coach left for a different reason, maybe there is a higher power in the organization "telling" Blash that certain players must play in certain situations according to their contract worth and language....ahem, cough cough, Holland, cough, ahem... We all know that despite the candy coating, Holland and our former coach never saw eye to eye on most things, espcially personel. I am not saying that Holland is controlling the situation, but I would not be surprised. Abby and Helm need OUT of the top 6. They are very ineffective there. A bottom line of Abby - Glenny - Helm would be a great 4th line grinder. I don't get why the powers that be don't see this, unless, like I metioned, becuase of salary and language, these players have to be played in certain roles and situations and if that is the case, I can see why our former coach left and can see why Blash just won't (can't) change it up. Same with Kronner and Erection...

Abby needs to be out of the top six as well. With the emergence of Larkin, Richards is not needed. Maybe our former coach would be interested in disney.com. Trade him disney.com and Andersson for some future considerations....do something, this team is toast.
