...honestly though, before the first goal, there was 2 slashing and a hook that should have been called. Refs gave them the momentum by not calling any of them and in the same play Jimmt muffed the dump in allowing the first goal...then Howard happened.

I understand, but for just $3.6M more than Ericcson, he is worlds better. Plus E is 31 and still has 5 more years. (including this year) If that were a trade that could happen (which of course it wouldn't) its really a no brainer. But odds are we are keeping all of E, Nyquist and Mantha.... I just hope Mantha isn't a bust, all the hype and hooplah. We need to get him up here for a few games to see how he handles it.

So, like, nobdy with a NMC ever got traded then. Ok, I see..... Besides, its a NTC not a NMC and it's a modified NTC to boot. But ok, we'll go with nobody with a Modified NTC gets moved either, ever, my bad. Acquiring Weber and really only losing Nyquist and the potential of Mantha is a trade that has to be made. We have players that can make up for a good amount of the loss of Nyquist, but the addition Weber makes is game changing, Cup contending.

Speaking of parking....I haven't been dowtown to a game since I moved to West Michigan, but I was appauled to find out that The Post is no longer The Post. We used to park in the garage near it and stop in after the game all the time. I understand Dino took it over and outside of leaving the old wooden bar, he painted over all the grafitti on the walls and ceiling and every other unmentionable place. What a tragedy! Sorry Dino, I love you, but you don't change an historic icon like that....sad, sad days....

Weber's cap hit is $7.8M. If you're dumping E and Nyquist along with Mantha, there is plenty of cap room for Weber. Plus he's signed for the next 100 years, so you wouldn't have to worry about him walk UFA come July. But the fact that I've never heard Weber's name mentioned in trade rumors makes it a moot point anyhow.
