Good pick up by the stars. He's still a very good playmaker and plays a good two way game. Getting rid of Ribeiro looks a good move now. -
He may not be the #1 heavyweight but he wouldn't let us get intimidated like we do too often.

I'm pretty sure if he had waited he could have caught on with a better team. Possibly would have manade less money but at least would have had a chance to go out on top.

Well this sucks, I just seen on NHL Network that Prust has signed a 4 year deal with the Habs. Both bottom 6 forwards I was hoping for gone.

Glad we didn't overpay. They over-payed to get him in the trade and then they over-payed to keep him. When you compare giving up a 1st for Gaustad and a first for Quincey, it makes Detroit's deal look a lot better.

Good for the Oilers, but they still need at least one solid veteran on the blueline to have a chance at the playoffs.

Ya he could have held out for a lot more over fewer years, but this shows to me he cares more about his team's continued success.

At least half of the people on here will lose their s*** if we don't get at least one of these guys. I would be disappointed if we don't get Suter, but not surprised. The fact is that there will be a lot of teams offering a lot of money for both these guys.
