Hossa's Career Might Be Over Already
AtlantaHotWings replied to ChristopherReevesLegs's topic in General
Wonder how deep they get into the conditions. Do they bring in doctors from Mayo Clinic or similar super specialists in that area? Almost like me and my insurance Dr says you could do X to improve the condition and the insurance company says nope not covered. NHL to Hossa sorry you can't go LTIR for an allergy to equipment sorry feel free to appeal would be the same thing -
How dare you try to trample my dreams....lol

who says the GM doing the bidding for Detroit will be Holland?

Just got back from MI and seeing Kid Rock at the LCA. All I can say is D**N the LCA has won me over and I hate changes in my stadiums. From the moment we walked in attendees were asking how could they help you etc. I NEVER waited line for a beer or for bathroom break. My GF was saying other than 1 hitch where she waited for 2 minutes the woman's bathroom line MOVED QUICKLY. The seats have room where your knees don't smack the person in front of you in the head. They even have CUP HOLDERS in the lower bowl seats which is where we sat section 116 row 11. I am assuming that is standard all the way up to the upper upper seats. I am already looking at calendars and figuring out when I can get back to see a game as I don't think there is going to be a bad seat in the house. Plus we didn't get to see the scoreboard as that was retracted during the concert and the led roof was pretty cool too.

Wonder what the odds are for the 1st overall...

But if the "new" GM pulled of a Burke I wouldn't complain... -
and how was the concert flying up to see both Kid Rock and the new arena on Saturday

I still stick by my prediction 2.1/2.2 x 2 years 3 days before camp...

The Detroit Red Wings: Decline and Fall of an Empire(video)

Kinda funny video with a couple of the comments interjected. You wonder had Stevie taken over would we be better off? Or would he have tarnished his image with the fan base based on moves he might have made. -
Forget getting sponsored in Russia. Why not get sponsored by a Detroit business as a spokesman i.e a car dealership, casino (I get my Greek on @ Greektown Casino), or District Detroit. Then he makes up a bit of the $$ he is lacking in his hockey contract and whoever does the sponsorship gets paid by the Wings slush fund under the table as a pass through. Gotta get creative Kenny.....LOL

Vs having uncles named Tony or Phil which one would assume...but nope http://www.ecachockey.com/men/members/harvard/20150607_Esposito_Relative

Seriously if my company offered me 3x my current salary for 2 years and knowing I can get more down the line I would probably grab the offer and run with it! I know the "system" know if I get hurt I am getting top notch care etc etc.

Decisions Decisions. 3 mi with no taxes for 1 yr or 1.9 = 3.8 - taxes for 2 years He is probably in the 40% bracket(assuming US Taxes) so 1.9 per year goes down to 1.14 per year so now he is underwater by 760K over 2 years vs KHL deal. Hard to ignore leaving 380K on the table per year. Granted most members here would shrug their shoulders at that kind of loss and not be worried.....riiiiiight I am going on the ledge and saying deal gets done for 2.2 for 2, 3 days before camp after AA goes to Russia to scout things.

Maybe a drunk chimp but not Sheehan, Helm or others....

and think of the money saved just on this part of the experience!!

Stupid question based on above is there a limit to the number of players you can put on LTIR? Could LTIR 2 players besides Mule get us out of cap jail?
-
Detroit's cap hit on both goalie and defense is top 3 in the league

Well thank God I have my Kenny punching bag in the office. Get out my frustrations over silly things like this by beating that thing black and blue -
Is something like below still allowed to sign a player? A little difference between Hull and AA and the state of the team at the time this occurred...LOL https://www.si.com/vault/2002/04/22/322091/ice-age-the-spirited-play-of-brett-hull-37-and-luc-robitaille-36-make-detroits-red-wings-the-old-favorites# "Four players, including Chelios and Shanahan, deferred some of thisyear's salary, and Hull agreed to backload the deal, taking just$3.5 million of the money this season so the Wings would have twoprofitable playoff runs before having to pay him off by July 1,2003."

Well solves the cap issue I guess...but why would he bolt? Wouldn't the Wings still have his rights?

Tatar, Athanasiou, and XO's new deals
AtlantaHotWings replied to PavelValerievichDatsyuk's topic in General
So maybe this is a way to get draft picks? Did a quick lookup on almighty Google and for a contract of between 2 and 3 million it's a second-rounder given back. If this is Kenny's "strategy" let's pray for AA to get a 4 million $$ contract and we can stock the cupboards a bit. I am pretty sure no one is going to offer that kind of money to him but one can dream and make the best of this salary cluster "insert dirty word here" table below from here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offer_sheet 2005 Averaged Salary 2017-18 Averaged Salary Draft Pick Compensation $660,000 and below $1,295,571 and below No compensation $660,001 to $1,000,000 $1,295,572 to $1,962,986 Third-round pick $1,000,001 to $2,000,000 $1,962,987 to $3,925,975 Second-round pick $2,000,001 to $3,000,000 $3,925,976 to $5,888,960 First- and third-round pick -

Survey of fans and how they view their management....and guessing Dickie and Leftwinger voted a few times! http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2017/07/red_wings_fans_have_lost_confi.html#incart_river_index

Especially if that breakout season is your goaltender. Basically we become Montreal 2 if that were to happen

Mrazek "Maturing, could bounce back like Howard"
AtlantaHotWings replied to chaps80's topic in General
I think his attitude is the key to working his way out of the hole. What's the old adage "Work beats talent when talent doesn't work" So translate it to "Jimmy beats Petr when Petr doesn't work"
