Lalonde's problem was he's a beta personality. He played and coached to 'not lose'. He needed to take a few risks like splitting Ed and Mo, playing Albert, calling up Elmer... but he was playing it so safe he couldn't. Not to mention how he coached with a lead....

Our roster is abysmal. Others than 2 guys on D, 4 smallish skilled forwards and average goaltending we're absolute trash. -
I think our bottom 6 gets a bigtime remodel in the off season. Ras and Burgers can stay Copp can just die... etc

The longer this streak and the better the team and a lot of individual players look... ya gotta think that makes Lalonde less and less likely to get another HC role.

That's true... but I really like Johansson... I think he's comfortably a top-4 D really soon.

That Edvinsson-Johansson pair looks like it could be a legit 2nd pair... if so we really only need a Chairot replacement to solidify our top pair and suddenly you have a sheltered 3rd pair spot to break in ASP with a defensive vet.

Augustine was shaky at the WJHC and is small for and NHL tendy. I think he's shipped out as part of a trade for a 1A/B center before he's exposed at the NHL level.

Look at the playing time under Todd... I think Lyon will be resigned and Talbot gets traded NEXT YEAR with Cossa spending another year in GR.

I agree... defenseman seem to be judged by points alone nowadays... especially for the Norris, it's just such a lazy approach to evaluation.
