This team needs a new coach like yesterday. The players either aren't able to play the system or don't believe in it enough to bother... either way a change is needed!

This season we finish 6th or 7th... like the Tigers we'll get a bounce once we offload veteran trash and infuse some youth. If I were Carter Mazur or Marco Kasper I'd be so pissed at the organization right now. Being on an AHL bus when you're clearly better that 6 guys in the NHL and care more/work harder than 12+ guys in the NHL... I'd be praying to be traded to another team.

Edvinsson needs NHL reps and he's going to have bad games at times... but he needs the reps to learn. The problem is he's being asked to be our 2nd best defenseman with 25ish NHL games under his belt. Yzerman has made 2 bone headed moves on D. Most recently playing an asset to unload Walman but before that trading Hronek because he was due a raise... I'd rather be paying Hronek the 7.25 or whatever, than have that much or more tied up in Chairot, Petry and Holl and as much as I like ASP he's no sure thing...

The point is it shows how terrible this roster is managed. Blashill > Newsy

We have 6 players at -2 tonight and I would bet good money Fester will single out Edvinsson from that group... he's making mistakes he should have made last year and learned from... the other defenceman that's -2 is Chairot... he'll likely get double shifted for his contributions.

What's even worse is Montreal is young and exciting, they have more upside than us and will likely finish just behind or ahead of us. #FailedRebuild

At this rate I see us 7th in the division. The old guys wil want out and we'll have like 6 rookies all at once next year and be dead last again. I'm really not feeling this roster, the coaching staff nor the front office.

This isn't accurate... he let in a softie on #4... the 1st goal should have been an icing, goals 2 & 3 were gift wrapped by our defensive collapses. This team needs a new coach. FYI: I'm not Husso guy.

You can easily replace players like Veleno with ELCs and save more cap. I really think we need to follow the Chicago model of the 2010s and rotate out middling scrubs for new ELCs. You can't replace everyone in that mold... you do need some experience as well but churn these guys as soon as they want 3+ million.

We do have a collection of mid junk that we seem determined to use block out our future core players. I really think we need to start moving the Velenos of the world for upgrades elsewhere and replace em with ELCs.

Agreed on Finnie, he and Doucette could be our outta nowhere contributors on ELCs to replace the Joey V's and Rasmussens of the world once they want more money than they're worth. I really advocate for the turn over of middle/bottom 6 guys like Chicago did in the 2010s really helped their cap and revitalized the team.

Great news; likely would have been cheaper if done a year ago. It is what it is now.

I'd be shocked if Seider gets less than 9.5 per on an 8 year term.
