Hopefully they don't wait as long with Hicketts. (Jensen is 27!)

TOTS line (Tip Of The Spear). Rotate Tatar onto the line everyone now and then and it can be the Tatar TOTS line.

11/24 @ Rangers plz

How about...the Engine/Horsepower/RPM line. Something to do with engines and the idea that this line is going to be powering this team.

Friedman: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/31-thoughts-rangers-roster-decisions-huge-impact-nhl/ On the Wings: 11. With back-to-back wins over Florida and Arizona, Detroit ended a six-game losing streak and remains in the thick of the playoff race. I mentioned during last Saturday’s show about the possibility of Dave Tippett going to Detroit if — and I stress if — the Red Wings wanted to make a change, but I believe in that possibility less now. Detroit did some due diligence on Tippett. That’s not to say it was imminent, but simply collecting information. They asked enough people that it got around. Now that Andreas Athanasiou’s back, coach Jeff Blashill’s got his best group and they are in the mix, having played most of their games on the road (with a big trip coming up). I like the Athanasiou-Dylan Larkin–Anthony Mantha line.

I don't really mind Abby in the net-front role. I feel having a really mobile, really skilled net-front player is more important when you're running a 1-3-1 formation, where the net guy has to be creative and really quick to get on pucks all around the net. We seem to be running more of "1.5-2.5-1" formation, with Frk and Tatar hovering at the tops of the circles, moving back and forth between the half-wall and the point as needed. It's more conservative; there's more of a safety net at the blue line, so Abby can play more of a park-your-ass-in-the-slot-and-screen-the-goalie role, which he's good at.

Srsly tho, we're pretty bad.

Oh, I know. Just looking for things to fantasize about.

I'll be the one to say it: Without the Larkin line, Arizona probably claims an opportunistic win tonight and comes away with the two points. We got sloppy after a really strong first period and the Larkin line saved our bacon. That line wasn't perfect, but it gave us what we needed and generated a lot of o-zone pressure and Grade A chances. Also, Howard was really solid again and remains our MVP.

2 POINTS!!!

HELM! ENG. 5-3.
-
Coyotes score. 4-3. Kronwall should not be on the ice with five minutes to go.
-
Dear Z, Stop. Forcing. Passes.
-
Coyotes score. 4-2. Didn't like that the whole Larkin line chose to make a change at that time. One of them probably should've hung back.

WHAT?! I've been living a lie.
-
End of 2nd. Wings lead 4-1. Started the period flat, but finished strong. I'm loving the Larkin line.
-
LARKIN! Man was he ever due. Hopefully that flukey goal opens the floodgates for him.
-
Great Datsyukian ninja-takeaway by Larkin on Ekman-Larsson to get that goal sequence going.
-
MANTHA! AA and Larkin with the assists.
-
Coyotes score. 2-1. Need to get back to putting pucks on net. Getting a little too cute here.
-
PK. Faceoff violation. End of 2nd. Wings lead 2-0. Wings outshooting them 18-7. Good stuff.

Clendening tries to stand up Glendening in the neutral zone, Glendening pushes him over and continues skating forward. Classic. Wedgewood stones Glendening, flashes the leather.
