"BTW - Shayne Corson!" The CBC broadcast was kinda quirky (euphemism), but that's CBC for you. I'm not totally sure who was doing the color and play-by-play, but one of them mentioned that the Wings were a team that "could play any way you wanted to play" about 17 times. After the 14th time, I started thinking about our current team and feeling sad and nostalgic. It was all in good fun, though, so I'm certainly not complaining. Today's game, on the other hand...I want perfection in all areas, except the Leafs' execution and compete.

You know who really deserves some props today? Mike Ilitch.

Pretty much perfect ending. Great stuff. It's funny, this is the kind of game where a shootout totally makes sense. It should be mandatory for alumni games.

I wanna see Kocur and Clark drop 'em. And Domi and Chelly.

I think I get where he's coming from. It's the sheer facepalmness of it all. We're down 3-1, looks like it's going to be twelve games before we score another goal. "Man," we think, "if only we could score three goals in this here third period. Wouldn't that be something?" Dats gets us off to a great start, our offense comes alive in the third period...and we lose, 6-4. *palmface*
