Wouldn't send 2 starters for Nash ... specially 2 top 2 line players for him. One of them and 2 prospects add in a draft pick and get this guy in the winged wheel.

Still no decision from Suter. Speculation abounds.

12 years 90 milion is not that bad average 7.5 million for a our number 1 defensman. -
Parise Watch [update x2]: Red Wings OUT of Running
KrazyGangsta replied to Dominator2005's topic in General
Hopefully, he will just return to the NJD and we can grab Semin and Suter end of story and Pittsburgh won't be a powerhouse. -

IMO it's between Detroit - Nashville I highly doubt he would want to go Minnesota ... and I don't think Pittsburgh offered the same price that the Wings did since they are pursuing Parise to come in. I think he needs to decide if he wants good $$$ and a good team to play with or take a little discount and be part of the Nashville core! -
signed Red Wings Sign Mikael Samuelsson to 2-yr, $6m deal (w/full NTC)

One of the reason Sammy was acquired was to play on the PP point ... like he was being utlized before. Not saying that his good or not but his at least bigger then Huds ... -

Give me Nash & Suter !!! -
I'm all for Nash ... IMO Nash > Parise in every category !!! Nash is a monster we get this guy and oh boy ... Nash & Suter on this team we'd be amazing and his cap is not that bad 7.8 for a Nash caliber player ... better then Parise at 8m. over!

signed Red Wings Sign Jordin Tootoo to 3-yr deal, $1.9M/yr

Exactly love what Kenny has done today ... hasn't overpayed and we've upgraded. Upgraded backup goalie. Got our 20-30 goal scorer. Got a hard nosed 4th line grit. Now we need our #1 defensemen! -
Hey what do you think of 7 Million in two years for X player
KrazyGangsta replied to Majsheppard's topic in General
His not going to trade Sammy ... Maybe trade Filppula ... or Quincey & Abby's rights ... don't know yet ... I wouldn't mind seeing Quincey Abby 1st round Filppula for Nash + Signing Suter ... on top of that having tootoo to backup our stars ... -
Signed Red Wings Sign G Jonas Gustavsson to 2-year deal, $1.5M/yr

Hearing the Boowmeester is on the trade block as of now.

Let`s thank Calgary for two reasons: Reason 1: Signing a Widerman, like that we would avoid getting him. Reason 2: Overpaying and destroying the market now ...

Red Wings OUT of bidding for D Justin Schultz
KrazyGangsta replied to redwingfan19's topic in General
Honestly I am not sure how it would work in this case. Technicaly all the teams have tampered & I don`t know how the NHL would handle such a thing. All I`m saying is what I heard from the radio, it could happen or it could not happen. Let`s just sit in the passenger seat on this one and see how this thing turns out! http://ducksdailyblog.com/2012/06/26/justin-schultz-now-a-free-agent/ Here`s an interesting link as well. -
Red Wings OUT of bidding for D Justin Schultz
KrazyGangsta replied to redwingfan19's topic in General
You guys are aware that whoever signs Schultz will be charged tampering ... will lose some picks and all. Heard earlier that Anaheim's GM will be filing for tampering charges the second he is signed with a new team. Glad to hear we're out of the race, he looks talented ... but don't be surprised if ends up a bust! -
We want Parise, we need Suter! Suter is the must need key on this team. Looking past our track record since the cap era, Ken Holland would rather invest more $$$ on defense over any offensive player. Parise is amazing player but I wouldn't want to see a player on offense take 8-9 million unless it's a Crosby Malkin Ovechkin Stamkos "Elite" caliber type of player. I rather have a team with a 4 functional line then a team that would have two top lines a not bad 3rd line and a 4th line that's not good. Don't forget guys, this managers tend to look the long picture over the present one. Holland knows he can't spend all his cap space, there are a lot of future prospects that will eventually become free agents and would want to sign his own players. If Parise wants to go Pittsburgh go ahead, if he comes to Detroit I hope it's only a 4-5 years for about 6.5 - 7.5 (Cap Hit). If not there are a lot of players that could help us get another cup this year. 1- Shane Doan ... would bring the extra heart & grit. 35 years old, we might be able to get him for a good price and get his services for about 4-5 million for a chance to win a cup. 2- P. A. Parenteau ... young & has a scoring touch ... underrated we might be able to get him for a great steal price. 3- Dennis Wideman ... another defensman with a good scoring touch could be signed for a good deal. You don't really need the number #1 players all the time to be the number one team! I hope we sign Suter and this three over ... Suter & Parise alone.

Dallas Drake won a stanley cup with us ... It has to be Hossa ... -
Chose your combo that you would welcome in Motown !!!

Lidstrom retired not because the team is lacking to go after FA's but because he has accomplished everything and wants to keep his body in good condition. He doesn't want to be forced to retirement like Rafalski had to. If I'm Lids place I would do same thing, I have my Stanley Cups, my gold medal, norris's etc... I just retire with a perfect health. As for FA I think we will be pursuing Parise & Suter. Ken Holland is one of the most aggressive spenders if you guys forgotten prior to the lockout. His a smart manager, you just can't spend big bucks every year in a cap era. The team needs to be built from the core with our own talent. You can't afford to go sign players (take the chance of under performing and having the issue of losing your own talent due to being tight on salary cap. All tho in cases like now that we have a lot of money you got to go plug the holes which he will do.

I would want to see Kronwall as the captain. He gives his 100% each game, plays hard and is young.
-
In 2002 we did ... sucks having a cap now
-
Lidstrom wouldn't terrify me cause it's bound to happen any time soon. We've been expecting that news for a good 2 years now. Hudler would be terrible, would destroy any hope for next season as well. Lilja ... could care less IMO, he would be a 6th - 7th at most. Vancouver winning cup ... Why not? Rather them then seeing Nashville or Blues or Pens winning it. Kenny's comments about only our FA's ... well it's a cap era so for the past years we've seen him trying to keep the same core / essentials player but unfortunately this year is the year to brake the bank open ... quality FA's are available in there prime but please Kenny don't pull a Franzen - Zetts type of career deal.
