For all those sad about a blockbuster move not being made... Just remember: Jakub Kindl is no longer a Detroit Red Wing. [emoji38]

...but will they win the WAR ON ICE!? -
Well... Not that I want to give all the "told ya so" folk any ammo but, Jarnkrok is slotted in on the first line for the Preds tonight and he doesn't need to be Forsberg. They've already got one.

"Floated" huh? That's gonna go over well around here.

I don't think you should punish the fans because of poor team management. They want their team to be good. They're promised a good team because they have all that talent. They suck because they're poorly managed and the team is not put together well. On the other hand, it's pathetic that EDM has had all of these picks and can't get it together. Parity is all the rage in the league. Some parity for the draft would be awesome. I love the idea of really taking #TANKIT out of the equation for getting a top pick. I think all non-playoff teams should have an equal shot at picks #1 through #5.

Couple things: First, if the Stars are looking for d-men, Nill is familiar with our corps. So... give him something good and also make him take something we don't want and something we're not keeping. One of XO, Jensen, Sproul -- the prior, plus Kindl -- the later, and either Quincey or Richards. You've get a young NHL ready prospect, a depth defenseman that you know you can move around freely, and a rental that you can either re-sign or let go. Second, Nichuskin would be a nice, young big bodied winger (6'4" / 210 / 2o y/o) to line up next to Larkin or AA in the forthcoming years. A future forward corps consisting of him, Larkin, AA, Jurco, Mantha, Svech… Looks pretty damn good to me. Git'er'dun Kenny!

Depends on the item. Yellow Cheese choice on a burger: Cheddar or American?

Indeed. Second only to Slapshot when it comes to Hockey comedies.

How does that even work? Cap woes are of no consideration? Roster limits? Sure. It's a horrible time for Tatar and Nyquist to be slumping and Richards hasn't been stellar, but I'm unsure as to why you'd bring up two guys who have no NHL experience and give them top line minutes. Meanwhile at least one of Richards, Tatar, and Pulkinnen just magically disappear from the roster? Zetterberg- Datsyuk - Abdelkader Tatar-Larkin-Nyquist Jurco-AA-Pulkinnen Helm - Sheahan - Glendening

Getting waived this close to the trade deadline means there are still no willing partners to take Kindl and his salary in a trade... MAYBE FOR FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

What do you guys think about the Ducks defensive corps? It's been bandied about that they might be willing to move one of their young D-men for some offensive help because they feel confident about their current depth and the prospects moving up through their system (Sounds familiar, huh?) Either way, here's what they've got: Most recent pairings: Fowler - Bieksa Lindholm - Manson Despres - Vatanen Holzer - UFA - Likely on his way out Stoner - Almost set to come back from injury The TOI for these pairings seems pretty even with Fowler topping out at just under 23 minutes. Despres and Manson just over 18 minutes. While they may be protected minutes in some cases, it does seem that the pairings are playing relatively equal times, but I'm not going to dive into analytics Bieksa has a NTC, and honesly I'm not really interested, so I'm not even going to bother. Fowler - 24 y/o (6'1" 211lbs) is signed at a 4.6 million for two more years. Could be a nice replacement for Kronwall in the future. Would be surprised if he was moved, but if the right trade is there it could be a possibility? I mean, isn't EVERYONE tradeable? What would you be willing to part with to nab him? Is he the 'number one' we could be looking for? Both Lindholm and Vatanen are RFA. They are 22 and 24 respectively with Vatanen being a bit undersized for a d-man but he seems to be a dynamic, offensive minded d-man with 8 goals and 22 assists on the year. I think the Ducks would eager to keep Lindholm with his combination of size and skating ability, plus he's got plenty of offensive upside. They may see Vatanen as the expendable piece due to his size, but he is a righty. Do either of these players intrigue you for our future or do you think our own prospects are just as capable of making the cut?
