Might be one of the few that got this South Park reference, but it made me lol. While there's supposed to be efforts from the Refs to remain consistent, there's a horrible inconsistency when it comes to calling games. Sometimes you get games like last night where you have 7+ minor penalties called against you, and some you are gonna see two called in the game total. I think last night can be half blamed on the Refs gettiing whistle happy and the other half dumb avoidable penalties. Mostly by Cleary. Hopefully we don''t see a whole lot more games like last night where we are in the box for over a half period of the game.

Yeah sorry we got a bit off track on the NHL discussion.. it's better left in that thread. I really need to go back to Skyrim, i've purchased all three DLC packs released so far and have yet to play any of them. I still want to go through the newest Borderlands 2 DLC also, although i'm considering not playing it until they raise the level cap as i've been a 50 before any of the packs even got released. It seems like a bit of a waste playing through DLC without being able to level up any further when they knowingly will raise the cap soon. I did wind up purchasing The Cave, seems very Tim Burton influenced and definitely feels like another Double Fine game. It's actually a lot of fun, has some levels of dark humor and reminds me a bit of the old Oddworld games.

I'm not so quick to give up Smith without seeing him play a full season or two. I'd be in favor of Subban but i'd rather push out someone else.

Detroit Red Wings Vancouver Canucks Philadelphia Flyers New York Rangers Washington Capitals By this logic, all of these teams are damned to having a terrible season, here's what I think we should do. 1) Watch hockey. 2) Repeat step 1 until 15-20 games into the season. 3) Use logic and see how teams are REALLY going to play the rest of the season after they actually play some hockey, get their bearings together from not playing in the NHL for so long, some not playing any hockey at all in 9 months, no preseason, and minimal training camps. I've mentioned this before, look at the standings as we are 3 games into the season. The Flyers, Rangers, Canucks will in no way finish in the bottom of their respective conferences as they sit now, because determining the layout and future of a team this soon into the season is ridiculous. I'm not sure why this isn't understood better. This isn't the NFL where we play a dozen and a half games and even in a shortened season, starting 1-2-0 doesn't spell catastrophic scenario in my mind.

Agreed. Lot of new faces, lot of changes, give them time to get it together a little bit. Especially considering there was no preseason, a shortened training camp, there's a handful of teams in the same situation right now that will find themselves in the playoffs. Look at the standings right now and tell me it's not complete chaos.
