True enough but I'd still take the other 3 over him. I must say though i loathe the game Kessel plays. I know the topic is best american forward, but best player for me is Suter. Top 2 D in the NHL IMO To think that two of these players we are discussing nearly signed here...... still bugs me all the time haha
-
depends how you look at it. Usually people are going to say either: Kane, Parise, Kessel It all depends on people's opinion. Kane is the most electric and best dangler. Parise is the best all around player. Kessel is the best goal scorer. In my opinion, its Parise because I favor complete players

Remaing RFAs to be signed - Jurco, Pulkkinen, Aubry
WingsallTheway replied to e_prime's topic in General
Judging by the article, I'd say it seems like Jurco doesn't see a future in Detroit. Maybe having more chances will change that perspective, who knows. You can for sure tell he wants to cash out but he certainly hasn't earned anything yet. -
in before re-signed

Sharp is trending downwards quickly and will cost an arm and a leg. I would pass and Im sure Holland is smart enough to do that as well
-
Obviously I could be wrong, but I can confidently say Abby won't be hitting 23 goals again. There is no question Oshie is a better hockey player than Abdelkader..
-
Biggest fleecing I've seen in a long time... Really wishing Holland could get in on just one of these trades Oshie would be a great fit here. This is basically Abby + Patterson + 3rd

Kessel to Pens
-
If only any other GM in the world would, too
-
Luke Schenn is garbage.
-
Absolutely I would do that. Strome and Mcdavid are pals, it gives a small chance of Mcdavid wanting to play with him someday In his own right, I think Strome will clearly be better then Mantha. I'd take that. Obviously a risk/reward situation but there is a guaranteed gain in strome with potential for a high to low loss with Mantha+ whoever the pick becomes
-
If any GM trades Mcdavid for anyone, they would be fired in 3 years.
-
They tried the Jason Williams International bridge but the idea was too far and wide from expectations
-
Seabrook lol jk, im a huge kronwall supporter
-
I wonder if he would change his tune if Jordan were packaged as well? It might be hard to trade 2 top 6 centers like that though. Alot to give up for the receiving team
-
Yeah I guess it depends on what kind of cap hit he's looking for. Hes somewhere around 8M right now isnt he? Thats too much. He's still not old, so im sure he could still contribute in another 5 years. It all depends on the direction Carolina wants to go with it I guess. It wouldn't be a terrible idea to trade him this off season for mid-level picks or decent prospects. Thats OT though haha
-
Thing is, Stall's contact is up after next season (I believe). As a rebuilding team, would it make sense to even keep him next season? Hes been on the downfall for awhile now
-
I don't see how this trade helps Carolina at all... Yeah you get rid of Semin and replace him with Kessel, thats good but by the time the team is any good kessel will be 30 and 240 lbs. Then the 5th overall which is going to be a phenomenal player, is replaced by Kadri.. Also on Toronto's end, whats the point of ridding Kessel's contract if your just replacing it with semin's?

Really haha I think its one of the best cellys out there. Its emotion and character. Two things our team has been lacking for years Only other guy who gives a hoot when he scores is Tatar
-
Ahh Pulkinnen. I liked him at the NHL level but he doesn't show that he'll ever be a magnificent goal scorer to me like he is in the AHL. (IMO) Its nice to see that highlight reel though, where he scored 3 different kinds of goals. Also nice to see that he can score when it matters. Bertuzzi is a surprise for me. He's from my hometown and I was upset when we drafted him so early. Hes injury prone, but he's just been getting twice as good each and every season.
-
I think both guys should split evenly. Can't go wrong with 41/41. Both good goalies and since they both lack consistency this could be a huge advantage
-
I disagree. There are fans of other teams, they shouldn't be at a disadvantage for being in a small market. Your saying we should have an advantage when it comes to fines and suspensions because were the mighty red wings? Thats crazy.

Tampa Bay Head Coach Jon Cooper Accuses Red Wings Of Cheating
WingsallTheway replied to WingsAlways's topic in General
haha thats such a near-sighted argument. No, but I do watch each of the 82 games the wings play, and that includes 29 other teams. I also watch hockey every night and these things do get noticed... I guess we should disregard everything Bob Mckenzie says since he "doesnt watch every single game" -

I did, and re-read it to see how my quote is irrelevant based on anything in the article....? edit: assuming your talking about the one you posted, No, I didn't read it because he starts off by saying hes a fan of the red wings. Instant bias. I'm familiar with the age-old rule of interference. Thats why other teams are calling it "subtle interference" because it is. I also said in my post it isnt cheating. Its bending the rules.
