I agree with most people on here Sammy was the perfect whipping boy especially since he was clutch in the playoffs He was a good role player when we had such a stacked team, and was one of the few players willing to shoot. Its too bad Holland decided to bring him back because now he'll always be placed into williams territory. His playoff goal against the pens, for me is still one of my favorite goals. Something about that celly as he skated around the net pumping his fist after the wraparound just stuck in my head forever. Forgot about the Chicago goal, although i completely remember it now. Classic Huds / Fil refusing to shoot the puck lol

Illitch has him working extra hours on the golf course so he can play in the PGA tour, bringing extra money to the franchise. Which can be spent on Cleary

Yeah I don't think Ferraro has much of a future with this team. If anything, hes the next Miller, which there are tons of in this league. Doesn't hurt to keep him in GR and give him another chance in the big club, he didn't look too well last season but nerves looked to play a big part.

Personally, Im not sure why, but I think Tatar will make slightly more than Nyquist. Although Holland could use Nyquists' contract as a bargaining chip, next year is going to be a steal for Gus' caphit. I see Holland thinking tatar is worth 1M, when realistically i think 2M is fair. Where Tatar will think hes worth 3M, and they will likely meet somewhere around 2. With Holland's past history of retaining RFA's at awesome contracts, I could also see tatar making 900K for the next 2 seasons. So basically, I guess i have no idea what's going to happen lol. I wouldn't be surprised by anything

This is bad in the long run, as it will support Holland's terrible decisions to sign over the hill veterans. If Cleary does well, suddenly Holland looks like a genius again. The best thing we can really hope for at this point is for Holland's vet signings to play terribly so we can hope that he finally figures it out. Sad, really.

For me, it hasn't happened yet. The play where he walks to Holland's office and they retire together and live happily ever after in Newfoundland. Honestly though, no favorite moments but a few years ago I really appreciated his hustle and heart every shift.

Good signing based off of his bounce back season. Mcollum was regarded as an NHL starting goalie one day so its a good move considering he can back up in the AHL, and get some more starts down there when Gus gets hurt. If he manages to live up to his once thought potential, then we have a good player that we can move in a potential trade

I knew i was spoiled watching that team but man still i feel bad for not enjoying it as much we will NEVER have a team as exciting to watch as the 08,09 teams. Utter domination every game, Hasek having 13 shots against and letting in 3.... Lids and Raffi Prime Z and D....hossa ugh

I seriously think Holland is becoming my most hated person in sports. Actually, he is my most hated person in sports. My roomate is from Nigeria and has watched his first ever hockey games (about 10) with me last season. He laughs that Quincey and Cleary are re signed. The fact that he understands that these players shouldn't be on the team but Holland doesn't says alot.
