I think its almost safe to say Holland won't be making any moves this year...(again) He said he was going to wait and see how the few games before the olympics go before he decides to make any moves, and with a few points in a few games he'll probably sit tight again. If anything I could see a very minor move, hopefully getting a 5th or 6th defenceman in return without losing anyone valuable. (quincey not included) Plus with the added cap issues, there isn't much Holland could really pull the trigger on if he wanted to Next season is going to be interesting because there will definately be moves, Holland has no choice. So many players ready for the big club and no longer waiver exempt so that is going to be interesting.

I don't think vanek would fit here... yes hes a goal scorer which is EXACTLY what the forward group needs, but hes a soft floater who isnt responsible defensively at all. He's also looking for a huge contract and I think signing him to a long contract would kill any team

Watched him play lastnight in sudbury...played a really good game. He kept his team in it and wound up getting the win, he had 2 really big saves He got burned pretty bad with a decent shot on a 2 on 1 but thats excusable

A healthy scratch of bertuzzi and cleary with this many injuries and kids still playing is something i never thought id see out of babcock Im ecstatic!

Pumped that bertuzzi is a scratch tonight....hes useless unless on Z and D's wing. Maybe babs isnt as delusional as i thought! Great to see a vet sit for the kids tonight

honestly...i expected them to win tonight as they always seem to show up against chicago We've seen this trend before, 1 good game absoloutely does not transition into a good stretch. Atleast so far, i hope im wrong!

Im considering travelling 13 hours, and buying 400 dollar tickets to sit behind the bench. Just so i can heckle babcock, I can't bilieve the lines he manages to put on the ice sometimes...or how hes stubborn enough to keep them together

a helm-bert-cleary line is laughable....what is that line supposed to generate on either side of the ice?

I seem to be the only one who thinks this but I think Bertuzzi has been really bad... He makes bonehead passes and takes bad penalties, and of course hes terribly slow. Doesn't do anything on defence and when he does he tends to take that penalty. On a positive note hes basically all we have when it comes to a net front presence, and hes decent when playing with Z and D together as he seems to be more confident

Seems much more entertaining than the awful watered down game we get in the NHL.. atleast the boys are trying to put on a show

Tomas Jurco-Pavel Datsyuk-Daniel Alfredsson Drew Miller-Joakim Andersson-Tomas Tatar Daniel Cleary-Luke Glendening-Patrick Eaves Todd Bertuzzi-Riley Sheahan-Mikael Samuelsson Alfredsson just doesn't play well with datsyuk and the rest of the lines just speak for themselves. Going against one of the top teams, and a very physical one...tonight will be bad

Cleary being on the top line at practice has been my last "babcock straw" splitting up Z and D is one thing...as its the only thing we've had going on this season But rewarding CLEARY..... who has been awful all season and just as bad last game, even talking a double minor in the clutch minutes of the game to solidify the loss I have no words
