DRW Dominance 255 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 I predict Los Angels win the next 3 in a row. You meant the Sox right?
DRW Dominance 255 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Well even after the shady umping, I'm an extremely happy White Sox fan right now. To take 4 in a row with 4 complete games from the pitching staff is phenomenal. Just gotta wait for the opponent now.
gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 Game 2 demoralized the Angels. They weren't the same after that joke of a call. Props to the Sox for capitalizing on it. After playing 3 games in 3 days in 3 different time zones, the Angels gave it their all. The Sox proved to be the better team.

The_Cub 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 I'm not a huge baseball fan by any means. Those last 3 innings of tonights game were incredible though.
3Hasek9 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 the umpiring in the league series has been atrocious. strikeout calls, calls at the bags, and otherwise: through and through awful umpiring. that being said, no instant replay. i hate watching football, and the replay plays a factor in that. if it were to be installed in baseball, it would completely destroy the rhythm that makes the game so great. the josh paul-a.j. play: paul should have tagged the batter. the umpire wasn't entirely clear, but when you catch the ball as it is almost in the dirt, you tag the batter. in the future, watch b.mo, matheny, pudge, ausmus, and any other catcher with a clue of how ti field the position. it's standard operating procedure: anywhere near close, you tag. even on plays that are obviously out of the dirt, catchers will frequently tag. the umpire certainly was not in the right, but paul made a foolish error that boils down to lack of focus and laziness, as compared to the umpire's gaff, which is a consequence of impaired vision and a difficult call. DRW Dominance 255 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 We should be in store for some low scoring WS games. I'm a little nervous as a Sox fan. I would've rather played STL.
gowingsgo 3 Report post Posted October 20, 2005 The Stros have some solid pitching. Hopefully the series ends quick so I dont have to hear about baseball anymore.
