Especially this year in the Big Ten, everyone was beating everyone else, it wasn't a ridiculous thought that Michigan would beat Ohio State and MSU would beat PSU. timothy1997 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2005 Iowa beat Wisconsin today. Michigan slaughtered Indiana. Next weekend Michigan can clinch the Big Ten with a win and a Penn State loss. Penn State plays Michigan State, and the Spartys (5-5, 2-5) have bowl eligibility on the line. Looks good for the Wolverines. Eva, you said it "looked good"...not that it was a "possible". It certainly could have happened, but all signs pointed to no. I think the turning point for the michigan state season was the blocked field goal that ohio state took in for a score. The spartans have not been the same ever since. Agreed. MSU really looked like they bounced back and were outplayed the Buckeyes, until that blocked FG. That was the turning point in the season.
