WizardOfOz30 1,886 Report post Posted May 13, 2010 I got to go to school and be my daughter's "Special Person" because she is star of the week. Read a couple of stories to the kids and handed out a treat to them. It was a lot of fun because I used to be a lunch mom there and miss seeing the kids on a daily basis. I wish the parents at my work would want to do things like that for their kids. Alas, they never do.

That's so sad, parents should want to be part of their kid's lives and school. Of course I was a stay at home mom so that was my life for 9 years. I really miss that, but I'd never give up that time. Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted May 14, 2010 I had a dream last night the Red Wings were in the Western Conference Finals against Chicago, Game 7. Detroit had a 5-2 lead going into the third period and I turned it off to go to bed, confident they had it. And in the dream I woke up to find that Detroit lost 6-5, giving up 4 goals in the 3rd

In past years when the wings would play west coast teams in the playoffs, I would go to bed before the game ended and then dream about them losing or winning. I was usually wrong. Hockeytown0001 7,652 Report post Posted May 15, 2010 No idea. Although it was probably a good thing, because I know if that happened for real and I was watching it, my television might break from my throwing the remote at it.

My brother threw his shoe at the tv during (I believe) game 6 against Phoenix.

glasgowcelticwing 18 Report post Posted May 16, 2010 (edited) Myself and my wife (Offsides) were talking about Letsgowings a couple of nights ago and were talking about making a comeback on here. We both don't get online much now because of the baby and such but we were thinking about how we met on here and such and Jen was talking about how she misses doing the sigs and avatars like she used too. So i'm gonna see if I can get her photoshop on her computer again so she can do this. It'll be weird though cause everythings different on here and alot of LGWers from back then don't come on here much now. I also miss the old AIM chats they were alot of fun. wingnut22 81 Report post Posted May 17, 2010 I occasionally use my AIM sometimes too. there used to be a sizable group of us who would all get on AIM and have a big chat party on there. It hasnt happened in quite some time. They were a ton of fun though

It'd be so cool if we could get the AIM parties going again. I think thats one of the things that made LGW fun for alot of us then is that the AIM convos spilled onto here and = insanity and laughter. One thing thats different for now though is that I used to always need to exit the chats early because of the time difference between the US and Scotland. Don't need to worry about that anymore.
