Puckett died after surgery today, after suffering a major stroke. Very sad to see. Godspeed to him and his family. *edit* Link as promised. timothy1997 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2006 One of my early memories of baseball was when my dad took me to a tigers game at old tiger stadium. The twins and tigers were always fighting for the divison title. We managed to get lower seats by the right base line and got their early to watch practice. Kirby Puckett was the man in Minnesota and spent some time even in a road stadium, to sign autographs and baseballs. I still have a Kirby Puckett autographed baseball. Thanks Kirby for making this young baseball fan's day that day. I couldn't help but cry when I heard the news tonight. Rest in peace forever Kirby. One of baseball's really good guys.
