Verbeek returns

General manager Ken Holland announced the hiring of Pat Verbeek as a pro scout.

Verbeek, 42, played two seasons with the Wings (1999-2001) and served as a part-time analyst for FSN Detroit.

Holland said Verbeek will be responsible for evaluating players, scouting and providing information on opponents

"Oh my God, this is terrible, I'm ready now to go calling for Holland's head on a plate, Verbeek is the worst choice for a scout, geeze, this sucks, I hate life, this team is going down fast, AHH!"

- Generic LGW disgruntled fan response, which can be viewed in just about every topic on LGW boards.

"Good move, Verbeek was a sweet player and will make a sweet scout for the Wings."

- My response
