Yes, some people--oddly enough--seem to believe that Illitch and co. are bent on the Wings committing economic suicide. Uhm, no.

Eh, f*** it-- I was wrong.

Crymson, I gotta say..I absolutely love the positive attitude. Too bad the majority on here aren't like you.

Couldn't agree more. Langer has been great in the last two playoffs for us and I'd like to see him stick around so he can do it again. I think we just need to find him the right winger and he could go on a hot streak. Guerin would be ideal and he'd compliment lang well. We all know we need more than just the hank/pavel/homer line to win in the playoffs!

As for nashville, them getting forsberg just ups the intensity, which i like. A gutsy move should show Holland what we're dealing with. At the same time, I'd love to just say to kenny make a trade for the hell of it. But right now, there's a long way to go, and he's gotta get the right deal. I have faith.

Way to be positive! :)

I'm glad that we didn't get him for the price tag ... Imagine having to ship out Flapjack and all that ... Bertuxzzi for a low cost would be good now, i hate the guy but i think he can get the job done

Bertuxzzi.. eheh.. sounds like a porn star.

I think that'd be an excellent idea. One-up from that would be hiring mercs to kidnap the entire Nashville Predators squad, and hold them until June.

Sometimes the best deals you can make, are the deals you make illegally. Go Kenny!

Just talk to Tonya Harding.. she knows people who can take down a skater from the lower legs..

Do you think guys just fall out of the sky and ask to be signed by the Wings??? EVERY player that would be of value to the Wings is of value to another team as well. I dont even know why you have to ask this question. Negotiating is key in any business and when you want something that a lot of other people want as well, you have to offer a competitve price while not selling the farm to get it.

Welcome to Econ 101.

Some people don't realize that managing, coaching, and for that matter playing ain't so easy. Of course, that leads to such people thinking that they're smarter..

Thanks, kiddo--I appreciate that. Positivity is its own reward

By the way, nice game Osgood played last night! :)

Spot on. Probably the fact that Foppa wouldn't say he would sign for longer may have put Kenny off. If the 2 picks and players tauted to be involved in the trade are correct, then I say that the price was too high for a guy who may only be playing for you another 4 months. I for one would say that Kenny got this one right, if he did indeed bail out.

As a side note, Forsberg goes to a team that hasn't got a single Swedish player on the roster!

Our Captain is Swedish "Kimmo Timmonen" and is a good friend of Forsbergs.

I have to say my first reaction, well obviously is what the f*** Holland are we waiting on. But I really didn't read to much of the thread or let it sink in. Now that I have calmed down I really am intrested in seeing how this plays out, I mean I just am very curious to see what Holland will do and just am getting antsy I suppose. But after we make our pick ups I can't wait to see Nashville in the playoffs time to truely become a riverly.
