What do you mean it's a shame they blew the lead? The Penguins have some of the most annoying fans in the NHL. ******* bandwagoners left and right.

PLEASE move them to Kansas City. I'd love to see them cry if that happened.

Oh, right, the hat trick. It was okay.

I know. not like here in Detroit when everyone supported the team when they sucked.

Oh wait.... no they didn't. Remember the Dead Wings and an empty Joe Louis Arena?

The Red Wings sure picked up an awful lot of fans after that first Cup win.

I don't care about more fans showing up at games. I hate all the people that are already saying Crosby is the best NHL player to ever live, Malkin is the best goal scorer ever, Staal is a future hall of famer, Whitney is the best defenseman ever, Fleury is the best goalie ever. And yes, people DO say this, look around some Penguins forums, or simply talk to some Penguins fans around. The Penguins have more out of state fans than you could possibly imagine, and, mysteriously enough, they all showed up this year. Damn people are saying the Penguins are the team to beat because of a nice streak. Where were they when they sucked ass earlier this year? Way to support your team through the rough times.

As I said before, it's the same with the Wings. They didn't have many fans during tough times and gained a lot of ones after the Cup wins.

Of course they're going to think Crosby is the greatest ever if your reference point is a Pens forum. Kinda like the Legace for Vezina, Osgood for Hall of Fame, retire every Wings players number, Zetterberg for every award in the league threads here. It's the nature of a fan forum.

If I were a Pens fan, I'd be going nuts right now. After such a terrible run they've got an exciting young team.

What I found funny is that the 3 stars were all represented by Islanders (1pt, 2pts and 3pts respectively), even though Malone had 3 points, Crosby had 4 points and Recchi had 5 points.

Obviously, you wouldn't expect the Pens to get a lot of stars in a game they lost, but to have the other team sweep in a 1 goal game where a few guys on the other team had big offensive outputs is kinda strange.

That's what happens when the local guys are picking the stars.
