Dude, what the hell... pleasepleaseplease don't turn this into a two game streak tomorrow.

Where were they in the third? That was such a sleeper. And this is only the Oilers, come on. The only wild part about this game was in the first period.

last year during the playoffs it was "only" the Oilers too..... <_<

Didn't help that the puck rolled up on Pasha...that really sucks. Oh well, those are the breaks.

I hope we have enough in the tank for tomorrow night. I'm scared.

Alright kids, I'm off to watch Keith Olbermann...night night.

i hate the shoot-out.. it's stupid.. exciting.. but stupid.

Sabres are a fantastic team, but without all of their shoot-out wins, they'd pretty much be an average team. They'd have as many points as the Atlanta Thrashers (not including how many points the Thrashers have in shoot-outs however).

Same goes for the Wild. Without all of their shoot-out wins, they wouldn't even be in a playoff spot.

Juts a bitter, 'we just lost in a shoot-out' rant i suppose.

i don't want to rag on dom, cuz his play has been great this year, but his roaming around out of the net is starting to cost us. what is he thinking?? i know he's always done it, but he's gambling against long odds more so than i remember in 2002 and it cost us once tonight and should have cost us twice more, but we got lucky.

yeah, imagine our record if we were good in ot. we have the best record in regulation this year and we're not too far off best record period.

wouldn't it be nice if this team actually had two scoring lines?!?!?! i'm simply not comfortable with any other line on the ice other than z's.

Lang and Danny have to bring up there game , but what the hell was babs doing putting Franzen with Lang and Willaims , 2 big lazy effers on the ice doesnt make me feel safe about a one goal lead

s*** happens. Teams lose games. The Preds lost to the Habs last night. Tough luck for them. Tough luck for us tonight. Gvet over it.

The Wings are now one point up on the Preds. Ok?

I defy you to tell me, after tonight's game, that Cleary is not playing well.

Lang? Lang doesn't belong in the same category as Cleary. Lang is at the bottom of the barrel. No, no--Lang doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as barrels. They're too good for him.

EDIT: I am defending Cleary here.

Too abd the boys came up short , oh well its a point if we beat Nashville tommrow were up 3 points ... but if we lsoe were behind by a point

There are some people in life who posit that no one ever changes their ways. Then others claim that individuals very well can change the directions of their lives for the better.

Let's hope the Wings actually bring it back-to-back for once?

I think the most frustrating thing for me about tonight is the fact that Edmonton gets 6 out of 8 points against us this season. We better hope they don't have another late season surge to grab that eighth spot, because we do not need to see them again.

:) The Oilers got 6 out of 8 points vs the Wings, and the Wings got 5 out of 8 points vs the Oilers, and the Oilers won 3 of 4. You got to love the new NHL arithmetic...

Well you can chock this loss up to Doms panicky theatrics. Someone tie a short teather from the goal post to his neck. If he would have stayed in net this one would have been in the bag.

Why is he panicky? Because he knows when the goals for the wings aren't coming easy, Dom in a shootout = LOSS

Calm down , Clearys my favorite player , I love him and all but his not scroing is harder to get used to after the explosive start he had. But he can still do everything esle that the game invovles.

And the barrels comment

Thoughts on tonight’s game:

1. Hasek clearly didn’t have his “A†game, and what was with all the wandering?

2. Kronwall clearly left his feet on Lupul hit, but it was still nice to see him play physical. I thought it carried over to the rest of his game; he played really well tonight.

3. I’d like to welcome back Kirk Maltby after a 2+ year absence. Nice to see him getting back to the hitting and agitating.

4. Quiet night for Datsyuk and Zetterberg; they didn’t seem to have any jump at all.

5. Jason Smith is really underrated; give him a lot of credit for playing the top line so tight

I was defending Cleary. As you may have noticed, I also have great respect for him. Lang? No.

BLAH BLAH BLAH... cool, why don't we blame it on Lang's horrible coverage as well? Quit scapegoating.
