Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 Crymson, you are like me alot, we may end up in the same Cardiac Unit someday, but anyway, Hasek has proven himself and he is ALWAYS there when we need a win (ie. Western Conference Finals vs. the Avs, rememeber game six and seven, I believe those were back to back shut out!!!! 2-0 and 7-0) As long as he get us wins I don't care if he sets up shop on the damn blue line. as for the shootouts, There are fun to watch but I don't like them because its not they way you win games in the playoffs. I think if the NHL never went to strike there would be no shootouts, The NHL did that to get the fans back. I don't like ties, but at least the NHL is trying. Its like the NBA doing a free throw contest to decide an overtime game. Crymson thanks for standing up for our players, sometimes its hard to do, but the real fans always do. Wonderful, the real vs. fake fan analogy. I want to see the Red Wings do well, which means all the players need to do well, which means I want to see all the players that play on the Red Wings do well, even the ones that get critiqued a lot or a little. Just because I may not think that a player doesn't have any weaknesses or goofed up on a play doesn't make me any less of a fan than you or the average Joe Blow on the street. I rarely miss games and I will critique (and stand up for players as well) if somebody did wrong in my mind, I don't give two s**ts who the player is or how great/bad he is and I want this organization to do well. Guess I ain't a real fan though..............
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 On the contrary sir, it does very much so... Quoted from the OP- If you've watched the game last night, you'd have witnessed Lang picking his ass and sniffing his fingers while out on the ice. He, my friend, was more to blame Read the title of the thread genious, it says "Hasek", not Lang.
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted February 24, 2007 (edited) I missed the game tonight, but anyone who wants to try to make a run for the Cup without Hasek in net, be my guest. I will! I will! Sorry couldn't resist Wings have one 9 cups without Hasek and the NHL has a awared a ton of cups with over the years without haseks name on it. Chances are leaning more towards... Hasek needs DRW to win the cup over DRW needs Hasek. There was a game last night?? Dammit, missed it. BTW, I don't blame hasek for the loss... Who was the defenseman that didn't cover the net.... THAT IS THE TRUE GOAT. Edited February 25, 2007 by OsGOD
Hiei 192 Report post Posted February 25, 2007 I said this last night and I'll say it again: WHY CAN'T WE DUCT TAPE HASEK INTO THE NET????

THAT IS THE TRUE GOAT. Err.. I think everyone is aware that teams doesn't require one particular individual in order to win, and thus I feel sure you've misinterpreted Loo's comment (probably deliberately, as to do otherwise.. err.. anyway). In any case, of course Hasek needs the rest of the Wings to win, because he can't score.. however, what Loo has said--which I agree with--is that the Wings have NO chance at the cup this year should they be left without Hasek.
