Henric 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2007 (edited) Hi, Could you please help me answering a few questions? I am responsible for the www.hv71.se homepage,. Stefan Liv´s last hockey club. Could any supporter help me analysing Stefan Liv´s strengths and weaknesses? The Swedish supporters would very much appreciate your help. There are a lot of supporters here in Sweden due to the fact that he is playing in the Swedish national team. What do you think about Stefan? His strengths and weaknesses? Is he allowed to play a lot of the games and how is he participating during training? What do you think about his future with the Griffins and in NHL? Please feel free to speak. You views will be published on www.hv71.se.. Please e-mail; henric_w@hotmail.com I be also be really glad if you have any opinion about Jonas Johansson who came from same town I Sweden as Stefan Liv. Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted March 18, 2007 Jonas Johansson is still property of the Washington Capitals I believe. He's probably on loan from Hershey.
Coyote0106 2 Report post Posted March 19, 2007 As for Liv, I think he has some work to do. He is improving alot since he first came to GR at the beginning of the year. He was just out of place to start the year. He would try and rely on reflexes, and that got him in alot of trouble. He was letting in very soft goals because of it. We sent him down to a lower league (ECHL), and he got some playing time in there. He was called back up, and started playing MUCH better. He carried the team for a month when Jimmy Howard (our starter) was injured with a bad ankle. He really just has to work on his positioning. He gets out of position, and has to make really tough saves, when it shouldn't have been that tough. We were rotating Howard and Liv as starters, but Howard has established himself as the number 1 guy this year, so Liv is backing him up. As for Jonas Johansson, I haven't really seen him play much, yet. So give me some time. Another site to check out is www.griffinscentral.com
drwscc 212 Report post Posted March 21, 2007 Granted, I've only seen Liv play in one game, and that was back towards the beginning of the season, but I thought he had the potential to be a good NHL goalie. The main problem I had with him was that he gave up too many juicy rebounds, which caused him to have to make way to many insane saves on 2nd and 3rd shots. As someone above mentioned, he did seem to rely too much on reflexes.
