Plymouth Whalers "Feel the Heat Wave"

I couldn't really decide where to place this as it is hockey but not exactly the AHL.

http://www.plymouthwhalers.com/home.html

I am getting into the Whalers (they are only 10mins from my house) and well we have season tickets for free for a long long time. A friend of the family is a guidance counselor for many of the players in the Plymouth-Canton School district. SO we get tickets all the time. Sitting goal line front row for tonights Game3.

Whalers are up 2-0 against Bertuzzi's former team, Guelph Storm. The hitting is awesome. Just to poke at Karmonos a bit I always wear my Red Wings Jersey. I can't stand Karomonos, but well free hockey is pretty hard to pass up :)

So here to the Whalers on their quest to be champs!

I made a few signs tonight to get under the skin of the Storm

Sign 1)

PLYMOUTH, MI: EFFECTIVE 7:05pm 3/27/07

SEVERE STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED!

Sign 2)

STORM WILL DISSIPATE BY 3/29/07 <--that's game 4 for those who don't know :)

Sign 3)

Traditional : LET'S GO WHALERS LET'S GO!

The have a few player who have been signed to NHL contracts as well as some that have already played a few games for their respective NHL team.

GO SPIRIT!!! :D

That would be quite nice if the two team could meet in the playoffs! I meant to go to a Spirit game but I just didn't have the time. However, it might get exciting to take quick jaunt up there if the Whalers play them

Unfortunately, I can't be at the game tonight as I had knee surgery yesterday morning.

I'm a game night intern (unpaid) for the Plymouth Whalers and I really encourage you all to check out a game. The tickets are $10 or $14 each depending on where you sit and it really is some great hockey.

If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Go Whalers & Go Wings!

Christy

Got back about 40mins ago... Helluva game 7-1. Sesito recorded the Hat trick and the whalers put up 58 shots. Great game, up in the series 3-0. Game 4 on Thursday!

Whalers keep on swiming in the Conference Finals versus the London Knights:

Game 1: 4/19/07 WHALERS 5 : LONDON 1

Game 2: 4/20/07 WHALERS 5 : LONDON 1

Game 3: 4/22/07 @ London

Game 4: 4/24/07 @ Plymouth

The whalers are laying the smack down on the Knights. I had to miss the first due to offsides working late... But we made it for the start of the 2nd period and in enough time to say hi to redwingschick33. :) very nice to meet you by the way

If the wings don't have game 7 we will be there again on Tuesday... but if the wings are playing we will have to give away our tickets to the whalers game... Either way we will be back for the finals!!!!!!

GO WHALERS!

i no chris terry.. haha

Sweet... He is pretty fun to watch out there. Seeing how they are almost all 12-13 years younger than me... I really don't think I would ever get to know any of them. Sean Haggerty, back in the day of the Detroit Jr. Wings... he's the player I knew :) Neighboring UofMD in the house!

wow looks like my hometown Knights are gonners... :(

It is seeming that way right now. Hero's came on so the radio turned off. I am sure they whalers wrapped this one up. Ceasar replaced mason at the 5 min mark in the 3rd so its all down hill from there.

Instead of watching the Wings game, I drove to London with some of my co-workers (I'm an intern for the Whalers) to watch our team win the conference! Tom Sestito was given a game misconduct early in the game so he sat in the row behind me next to his girlfriend (we were sitting with players' friends and family) and then got to congratulate them after the game.

Go Whalers!

 Someone should telll Sestitio that he doesn't need to get penalties in order to take a breather. He is allowed to go to the bench for a line change ;)

That rocks! You defintely made the CORRECT CHOICE in game last night! Glad you got to see them win.... Now I just hope the Finals schedule doesn't pit them against the wings when they are at home :)

Offsides and I have tickets to Game 1, Game 5 and Game 7... I am actually hopeing this series goes farther than 4 because I would really like to be in attendance for the win :)

Sudbury always got destroyed by the Vipers in the IHL, so here to hoping the Whalers will have the same success.

The buzz around the league said that whomever came out of the Kitchner/Whalers series was going to be the Winners... So far it is holding true!

 Don Cherry just brought up the Plymouth Whalers and congratulated them and his buddy Danny Ryder. GO WHALERS!
