DreamsofHope 2 Report post Posted April 26, 2007 I think Mike Babcock is the x factor in this series. Some say that last year he simply got out-coached, but I tend to disagree. I think that it just took a good amount of time for him to shape this team the way he wanted it, the way he needed it. I look at the Calgary series and I saw everything Mike Babcock has preached since he's been here: out working the other team, and crashing the net. The combination of those two things gave us the edge over the Flames, especially when combined with our skill. I feel like Babcock is one of the smartest coaches in the league and that he has shaped this team exactly how he wants it. I even loved when I heard that one of his assistant coaches was there simply because they didn't agree on things. He puts someone there to keep himself in check. I think he will be the difference in this series, and when things are going wrong (throughout the course of the year), I always look to Babcock to fix things for us... and so far he hasn't failed. WingNutt 12 Report post Posted April 26, 2007 I agree, I've always liked Babcock's style. It might not win him popularity with his players but he has thier respect thats for sure. I have high hopes for this team and see something very special in them. New Band of Brothers if you will. and Babcock is the general
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted April 26, 2007 I am a huge fan of Mike Babcock and his coaching style too, but if the Red Wings lose tonight, at about 10:30 there will be threads on here demanding he be fired and that his lines suck. Let's hope this is not a issue. Go Red Wings!

bringback91 2 Report post Posted April 26, 2007 Big fast Sharks in 5 lol hahahah Their front line average size is 6-8 300 lbs. Most of them have been sent offer sheets from the N.E. Patriots to join the O line. Clowe has the skating ablity to be a figure skater, but he chooses UFC fighting instead. Because his combination of speed, skill, toughness, and size is a thing of legend. The whole team for that matter. It's had the hockey world wondering, "how could this be?" This is top to bottom the best and most complete collection of super human atheltes ever put together. There fourth line could be ANY other teams first line, the D is just perfect in every facet of the game, and Nabby......well let me just say, I can't remember the last time he's got scored on. Kipper who? Sorry spamadelphia's repetitive posts have assemilated me into the Borg. Sharks in 5......."resistance is futile."

Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 26, 2007 This series could go either way. I don't think it'll be a huge shock if SJ wins.
