auxlepli 17 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 (edited) I'm four graphs in and ESPN needs better editors, and/ or Scott Burnside needs a spell checker. OMFG! Definitely an editor! Here are graphs six and seven. Since then, the Red Wings have become just another team in the playoff mix. Since then, there has been a string of playoff disappointment with just two playoff series wins since 2002 and a sweep at the hands of this Ducks team in 2003. The luster became more and more faded until, finally, this spring, the Red Wings were just another team in the playoff mix. Guest Tunbo Batman Report post Posted May 11, 2007 (edited) heh. if he people need to state again and again that we're not that good, thats because we are. if they keep arguing that we're just another team, we're not. this is so pathethic. we don't win the cup 3 years in a row and everyone is on us. i know 26 teams whi also havent won the cup these last 3 years. plus, in a 30 team league, going al the way every year or even every few years is simply not a realistic objective. RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 Burnside is the only one that has given the Wings some credit - heck he's the only one out of six at ESPN that's picking them this round: Burnside picks Wings You can thank the tight cap for the role reversal - for better or for worse (worse for us I believe). But you know, it's kind of nice being the underdog for once (well I'm not sure how being a 1 seed makes us one, but anyways). I just hope we surprise wings naysayers like Melrose again this round.... Guest REDWINGS4LYFE Report post Posted May 11, 2007 were underdogs because our"division" is considered weak even though i think if we were in the pacfic we would still be first in the west
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 We are too old... We are too slow... We are too soft... No wait........wait a minute, who's that in the Western Conference Finals and which (young/fast/gritty) teams did that one team beat to get in the WCF? Oh gosh, I'm such a dumbie. skeletonofsociety 0 Report post Posted May 11, 2007 were underdogs because our"division" is considered weak even though i think if we were in the pacfic we would still be first in the west Our division might be weak, but the two weakest teams in the western conference this year were LA and Phoenix... imagine that both teams in the Pac Div with Anaheim. So we fattened our points on the weak teams in our division and Anaheim didn't get the easy points in there division? What Gives? Lets Go Red Wings!!!
